The Presbytery and NEXT Church have partnered to invite every ruling elder from across the Presbytery to an engaging forum designed to equip and connect elders for leadership in the Church. You do NOT want to miss this incredible opportunity to hear from top expert Rev. Shavon Starling-Louis on Cultivated Ministry. Keynote speaker Rev. Starling-Louis is an expert in the intersection of anti-racism, art, worship, and multi-culturalism for evangelism and church growth. For the past 6 years, she has been dedicated to supporting the wider church through leadership in the NEXT Church movement as a strategy team member, coordination team leader, and co-chair. Elders will choose a specialized track of ministry in which they will gain wisdom, share ideas, and discover solutions while connecting with leaders from other churches who have been called in similar capacities. Choose from: Mission and Evangelism || Conflict and Leadership || Welcoming Ministries || Christian Education and Formation || Stewardship and Finance || Worship || Clergy Leadership Development This is a collaborative space created for elders who share a passion for leading the church. Each track will be facilitated by one ruling elder and one teaching elder. Participants are asked to bring their own questions, concerns, and experiences with them to the event. The Healthy Pastors, Healthy Congregations program restores the financial health and wholeness of Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) pastors so they may revitalize their congregations. Grant awards A one-time grant of up to $10,000 is available to eligible pastors after the pastor and congregational leaders have completed their educational sessions and the pastor has received financial counseling through Ernst & Young Employee Financial Services. The grant may be used to reduce or eliminate the pastor's “educational or other debt, or to boost personal savings in the Retirement Savings Plan of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), a 403(b)(9) plan. The grant is available through the Ministerial Excellence Fund of the Assistance Program. Primary support for the fund comes from the Board of Pensions, with additional support from Lilly Endowment and participating churches. Seminar The 2 hour seminar is required. Please respond to Rev. Create a series of conversations that live on your website, but are delivered in a variety of ways: Blogs—podcasts—e-newsletters—Facebook Live—study guides (just a few ideas) Platforms like this are fun ways to describe upcoming events and demonstrate why someone might want to participate. For people who are curious about your congregation, these platforms are tools that let your unique personality shine. Search engines such as Google love when multiple sources of content drive traffic back to your website. 2019 Revival and Homecoming Celebration West Cincinnati Presbyterian Tuesday September 24th and Wednesday September 25th Dinner on Tuesday at 6:00 pm Worship services both days, 7:00 pm Rev. Terrence Cato, Pastor Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Lockland, OH will bring the message on the topic "Peace, be still"
West Cincinnati Presbyterian Church is collecting disposable diapers (infant though adult) and wipes for distribution weekly at the food pantry at neighboring York Street United Methodist Church. WCPC members faith-fully volunteer every week in this outreach to people in the West End com-munity.
Already seeking to "feed the hungry" we are striving to "clothe the naked" among the youngest and the eldest of "the least of these," the Lord's pre-cious ones in need in our midst...

Middle School Youth—The Nights 2.0 The Presbyterian Church of Wyoming in partnership with A&HT Episcopal Church offer The Nights 2.0! My wife, Rev. Patricia Clary and I have been friends with Rev Hunter for many years and have “walked” with her on the journey of her election, Judgeship, trial and incarceration. We believe that she has been wrongfully convicted due to Prosecutorial and Judicial misconduct. If any of you believe that she should be in jail and would be open to having conversation about her situation, please contact me. I would be pleased to provide a different evaluation of case to the one which has permeated the media.

Covenant-First Presbyterian Church

During the summer months, Covenant-First takes its re-
nowned Fellowship Hour into its living room—Piatt Park
in downtown Cincinnati. With brats grilling, cookies, and
lemonade, Covenant-First members congregate for
fellowship and feeds all the neighbors and guests that
come by, feeding more than 200 members and guests!

Bethel-Murdoch Presbyterian—Summer Worship Experiments
Bethel Murdoch Presbyterian Church has been engaging in Holy Experiments over the summer to
increase our knowledge and love of God. We have taken a different kind of look at various practices,
both familiar and new to us, to expand our understanding of how it is that we are to live out our
Christian faith as faithful and obedient servants of God.
We began by inviting the Holy Spirit into our worship space to breathe a fresh breath on each of us. We
declared our sanctuary to be a laboratory in which we would potentially discover new ways to engage our
bodies, minds and spirits in the practices of the Christian faith. We intentionally opened ourselves for
proving or disproving our understanding of how it is that we can benefit or not from those practices.
As co-researchers, we started by learning some facts about a particular subject. We took the time to
experiment and actually participate in the activity, as was appropriate within the worship setting. We
evaluated the experience to determine if it was useful to the growth of our own discipleship to Jesus
Christ. We wondered if the activity opened our minds and hearts to the movement of the Holy Spirit.
We thought deeply about how each activity brought us closer to God and how we were then empowered
for our mission to take the Good News of God’s love out into the world.
We considered how important these activities could be in a time of personal struggle or sorrow; of peace
or joy. We wondered in what ways we saw God working within us as we participated through learning
and experimenting with different methods of prayer. We took into consideration the way each of us
learn differently and to be inclusive for children by thinking about how multiple intelligences are utilized
in Vacation Bible School. We reflected upon the importance of biblical interpretation and how the Bible
speaks to us is relevant to our everyday lives. We marveled at the engagement of body, mind and spirit
as we “walked” a labyrinth together with our fingertips.
Each week brought a new opportunity to learn something new, to experiment together, to discuss our
discoveries and to come together through our shared experience as members of the Body of Christ.
