Parish Particulars to Keep in Mind

Parish Ministries - Where Your Time and Talent Grow

The Good Shepherd Men's Club

supports many ministries at Good

Shepherd Church. We are in need of a

few new Angels to assist with the

Good Shepherd Garden Angels. Some of our current

Angels are finding it more difficult to maintain their areas

or do not have the time they use to have for this ministry.

This is an excellent ministry to utilize and share your

gardening talents with parishioners of Good Shepherd

Church. Please consider this ministry as a low key

opportunity to become involved in the parish. Please

contact Jim Reilly at 678-780-8343

or [email protected] if you have interest to help

maintain areas around the Church property.

PRAYER BLANKET MINISTRY Mission: Through the gift of a Prayer Blanket and a

commitment of daily prayer and monthly Mass Intention,

we seek to obtain healing protection, strength, comfort

and grace for those on our Ministry List of Recipients.

Blanket Recipients: Since September 2016,

189 blankets have been given and countless prayers and

Masses have been offered for those in need. Over 1400

blankets have been distributed since the inception of the

Ministry in 2007.

CAN YOU HELP? Contact Judy Nielson at

[email protected] or our parish office. If you

know someone who might need a blanket, they are

kept in the Parish Office.

Want to make someone feel blessed? Want to feel like a problem has been

solved in a beautiful way?

Think about donating a car that you do not use anymore to our

St. Vincent de Paul Society. They will be the perfect match-

makers and match your car to a wonderful needy family!

Moving? Unable or unwilling to drive anymore? Came into a

better car but still have your original? Let us help you help

others. Contact:

Spirituality - Come and Be Refreshed

AS THIS YEAR DRAWS TO A CLOSE, receive My Peace. This is still your deepest need and I, your Prince of

Peace, long to pour myself into your neediness. My abundance and your emptiness are a perfect match. I

designed you to have no sufficiency of your own. I created you as a jar of clay, set apart for sacred use. I want

you to be filled with My very Being, permeated through and through with peace.

Thank Me for My peaceful Presence, regardless of your feelings. Whisper My Name in loving tenderness, My

Peace, which lives continually in your spirit, will gradually work its way through your entire being. 26-27

madre acumula tesoros". Buena lección para la sociedad nuestra. "No abochornes a tu padre mientras

What is Eucharistic Adoration? Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ.

In a deeper sense, it involves "the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us".

During Eucharistic Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open

ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist ... By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we

become what God wants us to be! Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us.

We are truly blessed to have the opportunity to be in the true presence of Our Lord within our Chapel. If you are interested in

committing to one hour of Adoration, please contact Bill McDowell at 404-906-1598 or [email protected].

All-powerful and ever-living God,

when Abraham left his native land

and departed from his people

you kept him safe through all his journeys.

Protect these soldiers.

Be their constant companion

and their strength in battle,

their refuge in every adversity.

Guide them, O Lord,

that they may return home in safety.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Pray for Our Military - They are always prepared and ready to defend and protect us.

A Prayer for Soldiers

Brave warriors, should fate find us in battle, may our

cause be just. May our leaders have clear vision. May

our courage not falter. May we be triumphant and earn

victory as we show mercy to our enemies. May our

efforts bring lasting peace. May our sacrifice be always

appreciated by those we serve. May we return to our

loved ones unharmed. Should we be harmed, may our

wounds heal. Should we perish in the struggle, may God

embrace us and find for us a place in His Kingdom.
