Christopher Guy furnishings emanate a timeless beauty, evocative of a cosmopolitan lifestyle and at home in any global environment. From concept to completion, the company takes a unique approach to design, transcending modern and traditional boundaries and culminating in an instantly distinguishable look.

The Christopher Guy brand started life in 1993, under the name Harrison and Gil, as purveyors of the world’s premier mirror frame collection. In 2006, following the phenomenal success of the Harrison and Gil line, the core philosophy of creating beautiful and original mirror designs was carried through to a range of luxury furnishings and decorative accessories. The decision was taken to bring the original mirror line and the new furnishings under one umbrella brand, with Christopher Guy Harrison himself providing the new company name. From these strong foundations the company evolved to include comprehensive lifestyle collections. This defining moment in the history of the company led to the creation of the Christopher Guy brand and the start of a brand new future.

Setting about fulfilling his dream, he was aware that most furnishings had for decades been defined by their national identities; he understands that elegance, sophistication, and grace have always transcended cultural boundaries, and has succeeded in transferring these qualities into the creation of distinct and instantly recognizable, yet internationally admired decorative furnishings. Born in Britain, raised in Spain and France, and now residing in

Singapore, Christopher Guy’s international background is reflected in his distinctive designs that transcend cultural barriers to create a cosmopolitan feel. The core values of elegance, sophistication and refinement are encapsulated in each uniquely hand-carved decorative furnishing which creates a timeless heirloom quality that redefines trends and appeals to all

international audiences.

Christopher Guy furnishings have garnered international acclaim and

graced the homes of Hollywood celebrities, as well as suites of luxury

hotels and resorts around the globe. Joining Christopher Guy’s prestigious

listing of accomplished projects, including the Wynn Resort Vegas and the Wynn Macau, are the most recent additions to a prominent 6-star resort in Sanya, China. Christopher Guy furnishings also continue to lend an air of sophistication and glamour to numerous film sets and have ‘starred’ in motion pictures such as “Casino Royale,” “The Devil Wears Prada,”

“Hangover,” and “The Resident” among others. Christopher's eye for details, passion for design and ability to capture and reflect a distinctively classic yet contemporary mood has ensured that the Christopher Guy name has remained at the forefront of luxury furnishings design. As an internationally acclaimed brand, Christopher Guy continues to grow the brand via stand-alone stores in Beverly Hills, High Point, Verona, London, Shanghai, Taiwan, and via established growth strategies worldwide in every continent.

Christopher Guy recently received the prestigious 2011 Design Icon awarded by the World Market Center LasVegas and Las Vegas Design Center.

1. The Christopher Guy BritWeek Design Award

The second annual Christopher Guy BritWeek Design Award will be centered on students designing a furniture piece or decorative accessory following key Christopher Guy design elements, but based on the remarkable creations of Philip Treacy, the celebrated haute couture hat designer. The design challenge will be to conceptualize a full lifestyle setting incorporating all the elements of a given room and to design one or more of the pieces in the room, inspired by Philip Treacy’s famous hat designs.

Example: Christopher Guy Harrison, head designer and CEO of Christopher Guy, inadvertently designed a mirror in 2003 that was subsequently used for a hotel project in Ireland (shown beside). The mirror frame drew on similar lines to the hat designed by Philip Treacy for Camilla Parker Bowles at her Royal Wedding with HRH Prince Charles in 2005. After the wedding, the Christopher Guy mirror frame was known as The Camilla and still forms part of Christopher Guy’s extensive range of fabulous hand-carved mirror frames.

The design developed should represent a piece of furniture or a decorative item. The piece must be elegant, commercially viable, original and indicative of a Hollywood glamour feel, true to the Christopher Guy style and inspired by Philip Treacy’s designs.
