July Means Summer Schedule!
All Sundays in July will be single service Sundays. Many of our folks travel during summer and between July 4 holiday weekend and other events, our church is best served by consolidating into one combined worship. We did this last year and it was very successful. Our two worship service format will resume August 10th.

Let’s Get a Bus! Let’s Get a Bus! Let’s Get a Bus!
You are AWESOME! Last week in the newsletter, then from the pulpit Sunday, we extended a plea for funds for a new bus. We have an exciting opportunity for funds raised towards the new bus to be matched 100%. This week we received over $2,400 toward our goal of $5,000. It would be wonderful, if by next week, we had met our goal. Our new bus will have automatic doors, reclining seats, ample room for luggage, up to date technology, and much more. These features will make the bus enjoyable not only for our children and youth, but also the adults of our church. Our new bus will come with warranties that will ensure safety and reliability for years to come. If interested in contributing toward the bus fund, please contact the church office or bring your gift as a special offering Sunday marked “bus fund.” If you would like to make your donation on line, go to the following link: https://fccmidland.cloverdonations.com/donate/

“Fill the Bus!” School Supply Drive
August 27 is the first day of school. It is time for children and their families to start getting those school supplies ready. Unfortunately, there are many families who cannot afford to buy
the appropriate supplies their children need. “Fill the Bus” is our theme this year for our annual Back to School Supply Drive. Even though our bus is rather large, we would like to fill it with as many school supplies as possible. We have the opportunity to help at least one school, Burnet Elementary. We adopted Burnet several years ago and have donated school supplies for them at the beginning of each year. This past school year, our involvement with Burnet grew. Not only did we donate school supplies each month, but we filled their teacher lounge with goodies. Once a month, I led an after school devotional/prayer time for the faculty. In May, Burnet filled our sanctuary on two different occasions; which included, an awards ceremony and sixth grade graduation. We are looking forward to many more opportunities for the 2014-2015 school year. Our “Fill the Bus” drive will begin Sunday, August 3, and run through Thursday, August 21. There will be a special school bus located in the narthex for you to place your donated items in. Please bring your supplies with you to worship beginning August 3, or drop them off at the office. If you have any questions, please contact the church office at (682-2541.)
Here is a list of supplies:
Plastic zip lock baggies (gallon, quart, sandwich) Kleenex Notebook paper 24 count boxes of Crayons Pencils Glue sticks Erasers Washable Markers Red Pens Pencil bags Colored Construction Paper
Come on! We can do this! “Fill that Bus! Fill that Bus! Fill that Bus!” In loving partnership,

Special Notes: Prayer list names are renewed every three weeks as we seek to keep the list as current as possible and
allow space for new requests. Our joys, concerns
and deepest needs are already on God’s heart long before
we put them to paper.
…for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
