Who Should Attend

Philip G. Berger WallmanFamilyProfessor of Accounting, Deputy Dean of the Part-Time MBA Program

Phil Berger’s research interests are mainly in the areas of financial reporting and corporate finance. He has received several research prizes and counts among his publications one of the most widely cited papers by an accounting professor. Professor Berger previously served on the faculty of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he won every MBA teaching award that the Wharton School offers. He also served as a visiting associate professor at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

Professor Berger holds PhD and MBA degrees from the University of Chicago, as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.

Susan Lucia Annunzio President and Chief Executive Officer, The Center for High Performance (CfHP)

Susan Annunzio is a strategic advisor to CEOs of leading global companies on strategy attainment and business transformation. Her focus is to work with top-tier executive teams to increase collaboration and creativity on highly strategic, complex decisions inhibiting the company’s ability to be competitive.

Dean Alderucci Adjunct Professor of Strategic Management

Dean Alderucci teaches Innovation Strategy, serves as faculty advisor to the Innovation Group at Chicago Booth, and is an innovation consultant. Attorney Alderucci is a registered patent attorney and an inventor on more than 160 granted and 250 pending US patents. His research focuses on relatively unexplored areas at the intersection of inventing and operations.

He holds master’s degrees from Columbia University in operations research, computer science, and applied mathematics; a master of laws from New York University School of Law; JD and MBA degrees from the University of Connecticut; and a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer engineering from Boston University.

Sanjay K. Dhar JamesH.Lorie Professor of Marketing

Sanjay Dhar has been on the Chicago Booth faculty since 1992. Prior to his academic career, he worked with Unilever. Professor Dhar has been awarded the McKinsey Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Emory Williams Teaching Award. His teaching and research interests lie in the areas of marketing strategy formulation, brand management, new product development strategy, private label strategy, analysis of current practices in retail management, and purchasing decision making. He has published numerous papers on these topics in Marketing Science, Management Science, Journal of Marketing, Marketing Letters, and Pricing Theory and Practice.

Ram Shivakumar ProgramFacultyDirector Clinical Associate Professor of Economics and Strategy

Ram Shivakumar specializes in industrial organization, financial economics, and corporate strategy. His research has appeared in the Journal of International Economics, the Canadian Journal of Economics, and the Journal of Industrial Economics.

Dr. Shivakumar received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Madras in India, a master’s degree in financial mathematics from the University of Chicago, and a PhD in economics from Indiana University.

Singapore Class Meets in the National Library Building

The National Library Building at Victoria Street is a 16-story, state-of-the-art library with a three-level basement, situated in the heart of Singapore’s arts, culture, learning, and entertainment hub.

The building consists of two blocks that house the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library and Central Public Library collections and provide space for other public activities, including a 615-seat theatre.

Application and admissionThe Chicago Booth Accelerated Development Program admissions committee highly recommends that all applicants be supported by their employing organization. The supporter should have a familiarity with the applicant’s background and motivations for attending ADP. Typical supporters include the person to whom the applicant reports, the company’s chief human resources officer, or the head of management development. Candidates should have at least seven years of professional experience with a significant portion of that experience in a managerial or leadership capacity.

Each applicant must submit an application online. To ensure your place in the program and to receive pre-program materials in a timely manner, submit your application by April 1, 2016 for the 2016 Singapore program. Late applications will be considered if space is available.

CertificationUpon successful completion of the program, participants receive the Accelerated Development Program certificate from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
