1. Food

The Cherokee tribe ate corn, apples, deer, and berries.

2. Shelter

The Cherokee had 2 types of shelter. They had a summer and a winter house.

3. Language

The Cherokee tribe spoke Iroquoian.

4. Location

The Cherokee lived in the states of North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee.

5. Jobs

Each family member had a different job. The men protected the family and the women cleaned and cooked while the kids played.

6. Clothing

The Cherokee tribe had lots of clothing. Everything was made of deerskin. For example, they used boots, shirts, and leggings.

7. Transportation

1. The Cherokee used many means of transportation. They got around by canoe, walking, and when the American colonists brought them over, they used horses.

8. Crafts

The Cherokee made many crafts. They also made jewelry, too. Among these crafts and jewelry, they made bowls, canoes, and silver necklaces. They also made clay pottery.

9. Tools

The Cherokee used many tools and weapons. These tools and weapons include hatchets, knives, spears, and bows.

10. Enemies and Struggles

The Cherokee had a lot of enemies and struggles. Harsh animals were hard to live near, and the U.S army drove them away and wanted to build on their land.
