With costume fit-checks happening, the fact that we're on our way to the stage in Bakersfield is becoming more real in my mind. Luckily, we have several weeks to polish our package and get mentally prepared for this

exciting experience; I know that we'll each do our best on March 24. It's so fun to share ideas and hints with such a receptive group of women! I can see (and hear) "Ah-ha" moments during the 10-20 minutes that we're spending on various 'exercises' and experiences each week. We're adding to our skills toolbox! We're continuing Celebrity City's wonderful, long history, so when we interface with our Sweet Adeline sisters and others (whether electronically or in person), let's continue to be positive, and kind, and proud! ANNOUNCEMENTS Costume check at 6:30 p.m. this Tuesday for those

who missed it last Tuesday. Singing Valentine orders are due this Tuesday.

Please turn in your forms and money to Virginia. Friends and Family is March 13. Flyer is in this

Chatter and also on our website under More. There will be a sign up sheet to bring food for

Friends and Family. We’re looking for finger foods.

Margaret is looking for help to make and sell wind wands. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Saturday, March 17. The Heritage Day Parade is Saturday, April 21. Parades are usually at 10:00, so we start selling at 9:00, and are through by 10:30. See Margaret if you can help.

Election of new Team is April 3. Delia will be seeking nominees to run.

Installation will be April 24 with a potluck at Terrie’s house.

Dyanna will review the Director Evaluation Form on Tuesday. We have an audition on February 13.

For those who missed last week, please wear your all-in-one to the costume check this week to make sure the costume fits properly. Contest shoes are to make sure the length is still correct. You will change out of your costume before rehearsal begins, and Virginia is doing the checks.

PRAYERS AND WELL WISHES

Terrie is having knee replacement surgery on Feb. 12. Please hold her in your prayers for a successful surgery and a complete recovery.

Please hold our members who have the flu or are recovering from the flu in your thoughts. This is a bad season for illness.

Carolyn Goodcase and her husband Dan are both at home under hospice care. If you wish to visit or call, please call the nurse first to make sure Carolyn and Dan are feeling up to your visit.

Kathy Cox is still undergoing chemotherapy, and would love to have calls and/or cards. Please keep her in your prayers as she continues this journey.

FRIENDS AND FAMILY DETAILS AND NEEDS

DATE: Tue. 3/13 DARTS: 7:00 PM in the Music Room (truly dressed, made up, & ready to sing). DOORS OPEN: 7:00 PM PROGRAM STARTS: 7:30 PM PROGRAM: Contest Package, 2-3 other songs, something happening while the 2 quartets change clothes (possible a quick 50-50? in lieu of a collection?), ColorWheel & 4 Joy, Contest Package. REFRESHMENTS: We'll probably be asked to bring some-thing; drop it off in the rehearsal room before 7 PM, so every-one can be on time for DARTS! WHAT DO WE NEED? -- An MC -- Someone to write lines for the MC (more than the official contest announcement). -- Some members will also need to be there early, to set up chairs and the refreshment area.
