THE CHAMBER: SUPPORTING MEMBERS & JOB CREATIONWith more than 1,700 member companies, the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce is the region’s largest and most influential business association. The Chattanooga Chamber Foundation serves as the area’s economic develop-ment authority and implements a comprehensive job creation strategy on behalf of the community. Incorporated as two separate but related entities, the two organizations operate under a shared vision of championing member businesses and implementing a comprehensive job creation strategy to promote regional economic growth.

As An economic development foundAtion, we cAn help grow your business by…
• Encouraging entrepreneurial activity. The Chamber manages the INCubator program (in the Hamilton County Business Development Center), which is one of the largest and most successful business incubators in the U.S.
• Supporting existing industry. The Chamber serves as a liaison between companies and public officials in resolving issues and providing assistance with incentives, tax credits, site location, alternative financing resources, employee re-cruitment, and local business climate issues.
• Recruiting new companies. The Chamber’s marketing and recruitment efforts have given the Chattanooga area an international economic development reputation and played a critical role in recruiting job creation projects like Volks- wagen, Alstom, and Amazon.com.
• Supporting workforce development and education.
The Chamber partners with local educators in efforts to enhance local workforce preparation including the STEM High School and HUB, the Principal Leadership Academy, and the Chamber’s award-winning school-to-work pro-grams which reach more than 10,000 8th–12th graders ev-ery year.
• Developing new leaders for the community. Leadership Chattanooga offers emerging leaders a 10-month orientation on community issues and develops their leadership skills to prepare them for prominent business, cultural, and political roles. Chattanooga Insight is a mini-leadership program that provides a community overview in just 1.5 days.
As A business AssociAtion, wE CAN HELP YOU...
• Make business connections. Take advantage of more than 200 opportunities to build business connections throughout the year, including: 11 Area Councils (month-ly meetings), the Young Professional Association of Chat-tanooga, the International Business Council, the African American Business Development Program, recognition and award events, and other networking activities.
• Boost marketing efforts. Every day the Chamber re-ceives calls from individuals and businesses looking for potential vendors. We recommend only Chamber mem-bers and we only list Chamber Members on our search-able online business directory, which draws more than 50,000 people each year.
• Advocate for business-friendly public policies. The Chamber advocates on behalf of members at the lo-cal, state, and national levels through the efforts of a full-time public policy expert.
• Stay in the loop. Through Business Trend magazine, members receive quarterly updates on the state of the lo-cal economy, big picture movements within Chattanooga's business community, public policy initiatives, and op-portunities to take advantage of local business resources. Members also receive weekly emails notifying them of the latest business events, news, and opportunities.
• Save your company money. Chamber members are eligible to receive exclusive discounts on a wide ar-ray of office supplies, credit card processing, and other services.
