Thank you for our Rotary meeting. We invoke your blessings
on this meeting and all who grace it with their presence and
unselfishly impart their knowledge to us . Lord, help us to be
gentle with ourselves and one another, not expecting more
than we can, nor they can produce. Be with us this day and
always by strengthening our belief in the ultimate triumph of
truth and right. This prayer we make in the name of the way
of truthful living. Amen

President’s Message
Dear Centro Ladies,
It's been a trend on the WCP's face-
book page to update our profile pictures with a caption,
"I'm a proud member" together with a Rotary logo. The
people have been starting to ask "What is Rotary?".
In order to increase our membership, I also encourage
everyone in our club to do so. That was the very same
question I asked my sponsor, PP Hazel before. I have
learned to love this organization's advocacy to help the
community, and I have stayed because of the friendships
I gained in you.
RI President Ravi have urged us to strengthen the value
of our membership, recruiting younger generations. Our
Rotaractors are our great potential. Let us nurture them,
so they can be effective future leaders continuing our
legacy. I am positive that we can make this happen
through the help of each and everyone.
Let us multiply the great deeds and be a proud member
of our club!
Thank you.
Yours in Rotary,
World Class President

“In the pursuit of happiness, men most frequently turn to wealth; in it they hope to find enduring happiness. Some look for it in the possession of
gold, King Midas' sad experience notwithstanding. They hoard it beyond all possible needs.
Others expect to find it in the things which money can bring them: influence, power, business, and social prestige, the envy of those who are less opulent, and endless, interminable things.…If we heed the guide posts and danger signals which seers have hung out for the benefit of travelers on life's highway, we shall not look for happiness in the possession of money, nor in the possession of things which money will buy."
Paul P Harris
Reflections
“There is nothing intangible about Rotary: It is
reality itself. To give is to receive; to lose oneself
is to find oneself; to be happy is to serve. These
are old truths…for the individual…and the mass,
whether application be in the exchange of
goods, toil, knowledge, or love.” — The Meaning
of Rotary, THE ROTARIAN, November 1921

For your Information
Philippines population hits
101.6 M this year
The country’s population is projected to reach 101.6 million this
year, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority.
PSA interim assistant national statistician Socorro Abejo made
the projection at the official start of Population Census 2015
(PopCen 2015), which runs until Sept. 6.
The PSA, a line agency of the National Economic and Develop-
ment Authority (NEDA), is considered an expanded National Sta-
tistics Coordinating Board (NSCB).
The 101.6 million forecast is roughly 10 percent higher than the
2010 official count. The annual growth rate is 2.1 percent, slightly
slower than the 2.42 percent rate from 1990 to 1995.
A census in 1903 – the first under the US colonial era – showed
the country’s population at 7.6 million.
The 13th census undertaken in
2010 showed the official popula-
tion count at 92.3 million.
A total of 93,000 enumerators
or interviewers have been sent
out to collect data from 42,028
barangays nationwide. The tar-
get is one interviewer for every
300 to 400 households.
