Cytoplasm Also protects and supports cell Jelly like material located throughout the cell that contains cell materials. In BOTH plant and animal cells

Ex. Its like the sidewalks of a city

Nucleus CONTROLS cell activities In BOTH plant and animal cells

Ex. Its like the brain of your body

Mitochondria Breaks down sugar molecules to PRODUCE ENERGY Found in BOTH animal and plant cells

Ex. Its like a city’s power plant!

Golgi Body/Apparatus Processes and packages molecules, like lipids and proteins, that were made by the cell Store and release chemicals for cell use Found in BOTH plant and animal cells

Chloroplast Use ENERGY from the sun to produce food for the PLANT Contains Chlorophyll and responsible for photosynthesis Found ONLY IN PLANTS CELLS

PLANTS AND CELL WALLS PLANTS HAVE CELL WALLS TO PROTECT THE CELL AND TO GIVE THE CELL SUPPORT!! The cell wall gives the plant structure.
