GOSPEL MEDITATION ENCOURAGE DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF SCRIPTURE
A well-choreographed dance can be truly
inspirational. Each movement and step
are interconnected, each contributing a
piece of the unfolding artistic story. The
beholder is caught up in the rhythms,
music, and gestures, realizing that none
are dispensable and all are necessary. The
same is true of the Divine Dance of the
Trinity. Each Person plays a part, using
unique gestures and movements that are
connected to the other Divine Partners.
They tell a story of love. Every movement
and step is born of love and flows on into
eternity. The Divine Dance never ends.
God the Creator powerfully, yet with
gentle love, leads. Creating and
recreating, birthing and sustaining, He
dances with the compassionate incarnate
Son, guided by the breath of the Holy
Spirit. They are three distinct Persons but
move as One. On one hand, the cascading
flow of their Presence appears
motionless, yet on the other, flows and
moves with effortless attention. They
share one heart, one goal, and one
purpose and invite all of creation to join
in their dance, their joy. The energy of
the Trinity flows through all created
things. It is a dance of the heart, not of
the mind. It has to be experienced, not
dissected, and contemplated, not
understood. We stand in awe of the
Divine Dance and find ourselves watching
in amazement all that God creates and
sustains. The dance continues in the
majesty of a mountain, the power and
wonder of an ocean, and the vastness of
the universe. It moves in the cry of a
newborn infant and in the soul of one
who has been forgiven. It flows in the cry
for justice and in the wounds of the
oppressed. It circles through the changing
of seasons, the cycles of birth and death,
and the wisdom that one acquires when
they love God.
The Dance never ends. Its movements
and rhythms go on forever. The
Trinitarian Dance sustains all things,
endures all things, and brings hope. You
are invited to dance. Don’t just watch as
if you were simply a spectator. Join in the
dance and move as they move.

Act of Perfect Contrition
The Holy Father has recently drawn attention to the fact that, before Easter, many faithful go to Confession to meet with God again.
“However,” he acknowledged, “many will say to me today: ‘But, Father, where can I find a priest, a confessor, because one can’t leave home? And I want to make peace with the Lord, I want Him to embrace me, that my Papa embrace me . . . What can I do if I can’t find priests?’”
“Do what the Catechism says,” the Pope stressed, “it’s very clear: if you don’t find a priest to hear your Confession, talk with God, He is your Father, and tell Him the truth: ‘Lord, I’ve done this, and that, and that . . . I’m sorry,’ and ask Him for forgiveness with all your heart, with the Act of Contrition and promise Him: ‘Afterwards I will go to Confession, but forgive me now.’”
“If you do all this,” Francis said, “you will return to God’s grace immediately. As the Catechism teaches,” he reminded, “you yourself can approach God’s forgiveness without having a priest at hand. Think: ‘it’s the moment!’ And this is the right moment, the opportune moment. An Act of Contrition well made,” Francis said, “will make our soul become white as snow.”
– Pope Francis, Daily Mass Homily, Friday of the Third Week in Lent,” 20 March 2020
While there is no set formula for making a Perfect Act of Contri-tion, a common one reads as follows:
My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against You, whom I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with Your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin

Act of Spiritual Communion
It has long been a Catholic understanding that when
circumstances prevent one from receiving Holy Communion, it is
possible to make an Act of Spiritual Communion, which is a
source of grace. Spiritual Communion is an ardent desire to
receive Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament and lovingly embrace
him at a time or in circumstances when one cannot receive Him
in sacramental Communion. The most common reason for
making an Act of Spiritual Communion is when a person cannot
attend Mass. Acts of Spiritual Communion increase our desire to
receive sacramental Communion and help us avoid the sins that
would make us unable to receive Holy Communion worthily.
PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
St. Alphonsus Liguori My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy
Sacrament.
I love you above all things and I desire to receive you in my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally,
Come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace you as if you were already there
And unite myself wholly to you.
Never permit me to be separated from you.
Amen.
Amen.

This note is to inform you that our clerical staff will change formally on July 1, 2020. Fr. Michael Baynham will remain in service at St. Rita in Dallas, where he has been living since the epidemic broke out in March. We will be receiving a new parochial vicar, Fr. Tuan Le, on July 1. Fr. Tuan Le has been a priest of the Dallas Diocese since 2006. He has served in various parishes including St. Gabriel in McKinney, Holy Spirit in Duncanville and presently St. Patrick in Dallas (Lake Highlands). His last name is pronounced: “Lee”.
Please send any notes or gifts to Fr. Baynham to St. Rita, or we can forward them. Due to the epidemic I think it is best not to have a farewell “gathering” for Fr. Baynham. We will think about what we will do for Fr. Tuan Le closer to his arrival. He will of course be living at our rectory. You will have ample opportunity to meet him.
The ordination of the now Fr. Garrett Bockman was joyful and very peaceful last Saturday at St. Francis Church in Frisco. His First Mass with us here at Seton was a honor to share in. Please remember Fr. Garrett as he moves forward in his ministry. He will serve this summer at St. Juan Diego parish in Dallas. He will return in September to Washington, DC, to the Catholic University of America to finish an advanced “pontifical” degree in Morality. The degree is called an “STL”- Licentiate in Sacred Theology - and is equivalent to a Masters degree in the secular university system.
Continue to pray for our Capital Campaign for a new church! Stay well. Stay safe and stay at home if you can!
Yours, -Fr. Bruce Bradley
Sometimes bad things happen in good families. Yelling, hitting, shoving, insults, not sharing income.
If you are experiencing or using these behaviors at home or living in fear, change is possible. You can be safe and bring peace to

Bishop Edward J. Burns and Auxiliary Bishop Greg Kelly join their brother bishops in Texas in calling for prayers for George Floyd, his loved ones and for justice and peace in our country.
The Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops offers our prayers for George Floyd, his family and friends, and all those affected by his killing and the events that followed in Minnesota. As the US Bishops stated in their recent pastoral letter, “Open Wide Our Hearts,” the injustice and harm racism causes are an attack on the dignity of human life. We pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance as we approach this season of Pentecost in order to work toward a society where justice, peace, and charity may be shared with all of God’s children.
Mary, friend and mother to all, through your Son, God has found a way to unite himself to every human being, called to be one people, sisters and brothers to each other.
We ask for your help in calling on your Son, seeking forgiveness for the times when we have failed to love and respect one another.
We ask for your help in obtaining from your Son the grace we need to overcome the evil of racism and to build a just society.
We ask for your help in following your Son, so that prejudice and animosity will no longer infect our minds or hearts but will be replaced with a love that respects the dignity of each person.
Mother of the Church, the Spirit of your Son Jesus warms our hearts: pray for us.
From "Open Wide Our Hearts: The Enduring Call to Love", a pastoral letter against racism

In our worship may we hear the Word of God with faith. May we celebrate the Sacraments with hope. May we serve one another with love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. Do you hear the cry of the poor? Do you seek to live your faith through your works; to love God as St. Vincent said, with the “strength of your arms and the sweat of your brow?”
St. Vincent de Paul
LIVE THE LITURGY
INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK
Today we celebrate the Divine dance, a perfectly choreographed interplay of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Together they dance and move as one though three unique Persons with distinctive, yet harmonious, patterns and steps. They provide a mirror into our soul. Within each one of us, the Divine dance continues, and the music of God’s love continues to inspire, sustain, and recreate us with every step and melody. Can you hear the music that the Triune God is playing? Where is the dance leading you? Our minds can never truly understand or know God. But our hearts can seek and find Him. From beginning to end, God is one and, at the same time, Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier. God’s holy Trinitarian dance is calling you to holiness.

During this unusual time, when events and plans are
changing rapidly, it is important to have a way to com-
municate with everyone in the parish. One of the most
effective way we have is to send out flocknotes to all
who are registered. If you have not done so already,
please take a few minutes to enroll today.
Gala News
Given not only the uncertainty of when we will be able to socially
gather, in addition to the economic impact to businesses as well as
individuals, this year’s annual Seton Gala will be postponed until
September 18, 2021.
We appreciate the parish support and look forward to seeing you in
2021 for this amazing event.

ONLINE FAITH FORMATION:
As you are aware, we are currently conducting all Faith Formation classes online. The lessons were shared with you last week and if additional materials were needed, they were emailed to you via Flocknotes. You will find all the resources you will need via links on our webpage: setonparish.org/cm for grades Pre-K / K and 3rd-6th. Please note that as the primary educators of your child we are relying on you to fill in the gap from not having classes and spend some faith filled, quality time with your children. It is truly a gift to share our faith with our children. Please let us know if you have any questions!
Stephen Ministers Care!
When the pains of life come your way, will someone be ready to support you, to share God’s love in a special, personal way? One of the layers of care that is available to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton family is Stephen Ministry.
Trained Stephen Ministers have worked to develop skill at listening, being present, and bringing Christ’s healing love to people who are grieving, hurting, or experiencing other stresses in life. When illness, loss, divorce, job loss or any unwelcome transition impacts you or someone you love, a Stephen Minister is only a phone call away.
In the words of others who have asked for a Stephen Minister:
“My Stephen Minister was there during the darkest of times—patiently listening and trying to understand my pain. Looking back, I can clearly see how my Stephen Minister kept me connected to God when I was falling away” and “My Stephen Minister listens—really listens. I never realized how helpful and healing such a simple act can be.”

Sharing the Gospel God loves you so much. He sent Jesus into the world to take your sins away. Jesus died on the cross as punishment for all of your sins so that you could have a new, better life with God. Believe in Jesus. Trust in God's love. Then you can live with God forever.
Prayer Jesus, thank you for taking away my sins.
Mission for the Week Preschool—1st Grade: When I wash my hands, I will remember that Jesus washed away my sins
2nd—3rd Grades: Read John 3:16-18 with your family. Thank Jesus for taking all of your sins away. When I wash my hands, I will remember that Jesus washed away my sins in baptism.
