YOUR GRACE IS ENOUGH: PRAISE, WORSHIP….AND GRATITUDE
On Sunday a!ernoon, May 3rd, some of the members of the Contemporary Music Ministry Group, which leads us in song at the 11am Mass at St. Anthony’s, got together to record some of the songs from their expansive list of Praise and Worship Music. I o!en hear that their mu-sic is upli!ing and joyful and I thought we could all use some upli!ing and joy right now. Since it wasn’t a Mass, I was able to get behind the keyboard, (albeit a bit rusty) which is how I be-came involved in my parish when I was young. Four hours later, we had recorded 13 songs. It was a lot of work, but, boy, it was also a lot of fun! Jonathan Galo spent a good part of the week edi#ng his great camera and audio work and what came out was “Your Grace is Enough—Praise, Worship and Gra#tude.” The Praise and Worship, well, of course, that is to God, the Source of all that is and the One who deserves all Praise. The Gra#tude was towards the many people who are presently on the front line in the medical field and service industry during this pandemic, o!en at great sacrifice to them and their families. “Your Grace is Enough” was a small way to say thanks to them and to hopefully li! all of our spirits.
This project can serve as an example to all of us to use our God-given talents and gi!s to bring hope and joy into our world. Think about how you may brighten another’s life- -whether it be sending a note, cooking a meal for someone alone, pu%ng a poster in your window express-ing your thanks to our front line workers, having a Face#me with your parents or grandpar-ents, or, well, maybe, like me, playing piano or some other instrument to brighten one’s day.
So, if you haven’t done so yet, check out the Contemporary Music Ministry Presenta#on on our website: www.falmouthcatholic.org and share it with others. Or be&er yet, come and worship with us at some 11AM Mass at St. Anthony’s once we get back to church.
Speaking of which, we are anxiously awai#ng the reopening of our churches. As soon as direc-#ves from both the state and the bishop’s office are provided and a!er discussion with Fr. Ryan, our deacons, staff and a few members of the pastoral council, a plan will be formulated for our collabora#ve. With your coopera#on and pa#ence, we can make this work. Have a good week. —Fr. Steve
CATHOLIC COMMUNITY OF FALMOUTH
MIRACULOUS CRUCIFIX OF SAINT MARCELLUS, ROME
When This is Over Laura Kelly Fanucci When this is over,
may we never again take for granted a handshake with a stranger, full shelves at the store, conversa!ons with neighbors, a crowded theatre,
Friday night out, a rou!ne checkup, the school rush each morning, coffee with a friend, the stadium roaring, each deep breath, a boring Tuesday, or life itself.
When this ends, may we find that we have become more like the people we wanted to be,
we were called to be, we hoped to be, and may we stay that way, be%er for each other because of the worst.

We appreciate your support of our parishes, espe-cially during this difficult #me when collec#ons have diminished. Thanks to those who have dropped off their envelopes and other dona!ons. If you wish to place your dona#on in just one en-velope (as opposed to mul#ple weekly envelopes,) please feel free to do so. All three parishes can now par#cipate in the WESHARE on-line dona!on program (see below) whether that be a ONE-TIME DONATION, or a temporary weekly or monthly dona#on, or even perhaps using ON-LINE GIVING as your permanent means of support. Contact Dan Cunha in our business office if you have ques#ons. As you know, the weekly collec-#on is our primary means of support. From this, we must pay u#li#es, insurance and most im-portantly, our faithful employees. As always, we thank you for anything you can do. Take care of yourselves as well. —Fr Steve
