We decided early on due to the emotion of the song, we needed real actors who would be able to portray the range of emotions that the narrative required in a believable fashion. Due to us not knowing any professional actors who would be willing to do it for free we decided to use the service CastingCallPro. It is an online network of actors who are willing to get involved with Student Projects for no fee. We thought this would be the perfect avenue to find the two actors needed for our narrative.

POSTING A JOB

We wanted the actors to immediately understand that we where shooting a music video and that the actors where not going to be paid.

We put up an extremely detailed description of our production to entise a wide array of actors to the project and for them to understand that we where going to do the Music Video to a very high standard.

APPLICANTS

After posting the job we where overwhelmed by the response as we had 50 female applicants for the role of the girlfriend and 10 male applicants for the part of Jack Butler. This gave us a lot of options, allowing us to make a very well thought out decision on who our actors would be.
