Carmel-by-the-Sea: Victim reported theloss of a wallet and personal effects containedin the wallet. The wallet was last seen during apurchase at a bakery on Ocean Avenue onSunday, Dec. 6. The victim requested a reportin the event the wallet and items are recovered.The person was also advised to contact thebank and Equifax to have a fraud alert placed.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: A vehicle was stoppedon Junipero Street for displaying a defectivewindshield and was found to have fraudulenttabs. The 32-year-old male driver was cited andthe vehicle was towed.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Person on CarmeloStreet reported a male subject going door todoor selling magazines. Subject was contactedand told soliciting was not allowed in Carmel.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Woman requested awelfare check on her daughter. She stated herex-husband had dropped off her daughter withher mother and was concerned about the cloth-ing her daughter was wearing. Woman statedher ex-husband did not put a jacket on herdaughter, and it was a very cold day. The offi-cer contacted the daughter and noticed she waswearing a fleece sweater and was well.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Ambulance dis-patched to a Rio Road residence for a femalelift assist with no complaint. Patient neededhelp getting up off the floor. Ambulance andCypress Fire crew assisted patient up. Patientleft in neighbors’ care.

He gave no indication ofwanting to hurt himself, and stated he was staying overnightand would be leaving for Oregon in the morning. Man statedhe was tired of living with ex-wife and was heading to afriend’s house in Oregon, where he has job opportunities. Heseemed upbeat about future plans and relieved to be awayfrom ex-wife.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine and ambulance dispatchedto a restaurant on Dolores Street at the request of CPD for a sub-ject that had choked on dinner. Patient signed a medical releasewith attending paramedic.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine and ambulance dispatchedto a multifamily residence on San Carlos Street for a female inher 80s with a lower GI bleed. Patient taken to CHOMP byambulance.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine dispatched to Guadalupeand Ocean Avenue for a water problem. Engine canceled onscene by CPD and public works, who had already contacted CalAm.
Carmel Valley: Business owner in Carmel Valley Villagereported his business was burglarized.
Carmel area: Annoying calls received from woman’sdrunk husband, who was upset she went to lunch with anoth-er woman. Suspect warned and no prosecution desired.
Carmel area: Past-tense report of one 16-year-old femalestudent pushing another down some stairs. No injuries. Pendingfurther investigation. Case continues.
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10
Carmel-by-the-Sea: A passing citizen reported a homelessfemale subject sleeping along a fence at a residence in the areaof Santa Fe and First. A homeless female subject and her dogwere found to be lying down against the fence. Nothing else waspresent to indicate the female subject was sleeping or campingin violation of the Carmel Municipal Code. The property ownerwas contacted and it was determined the female subject did nothave permission to be on or near the property. The female sub-ject was advised if she were to return to the property, she wouldbe arrested for trespassing. The female subject was counseledand released at the scene.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: A resident on First Avenue reportedpossible incidents of trespassing by a homeless person afterfinding signs of what appeared to be human defecation on pilesof pine needles located inside the confined areas of a fencedyard of a private residence. The resident was provided withresources and advice for countering possible trespassers.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A female subject slipped and fell oncity property on San Carlos Street, sustaining a minor injury toher elbow.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: CPD units responded to Lincoln Street
and Ocean Avenue regarding a report of a hit-and-run, property-damage-only collision involving a driver who apparently wasunder the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The 67-year-oldmale driver was subsequently arrested and transported to coun-ty jail. The driver’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
Carmel-by-the-Sea: In-house medical at the fire station,where a subject arrived to for help with a possible allergic reac-tion. Patient transported Code 2 by ambulance
Carmel-by-the-Sea: Ambulance and fire engine requestedby Carmel P.D. to assess a subject with past-tense cuts, unknowncause. Patient under arrest requested transport to the hospital.

Third for a service call. Crew assisted with lighting a pilot lightto the residence’s water heater.

Arrived on scene tofind a female in her 50s lying on the floor after a slip and fall.Upon primary survey and patient assessment, the patient refusedany other treatment, including c-spine precautions or transportto the hospital. She was advised to see a doctor or call 911 if hercondition worsened.
