The world stood by and watched while Europe’s Jews were persecuted and eventually sent tothedeathcampsofPoland.Ordinarypeoplewatchedastheir Jewishneighbourswereremoved. However, thereweresomeshiningexamplesofindividualswhoriskedtheirlivesandthelivesoftheirfamilies tosave Jews.Theirstories illustrate their response to injustice. This response to injusticerequired courage, care and compassion. Their stories are true examples of humanity and all thathumanityshouldstrivetobe.
