EXHIBITOR GIFT BAGS The Exhibitor Gift Bags were such a hit at last year's Spring Obedience Trials that we are doing them again this year! Last year we had a number of people contribute various dog items from their personal storage closet. Items ranged from a cool crate cover to various leashes, collars, toys, dishes and more. Those donated items really helped us fill the bags with lots of surprises. Did you win things at shows that you don't use? Perhaps you won tiny toys and you have a giant breed? Or maybe your toy breed received giant sized things as prizes or gifts? Here's your chance to re-home items are new (or look like new). Or, would you like to purchase something at your favorite store and donate it to our Gift Bag project? Cash donations would be appreciated and put to good use, too!
Please bring your donations to the next club meeting, or get them to one of the Committee members -- preferably before March 20. For more information, contact me at [email protected]. Thanks! Kathy Lang, Exhibitor Gift Bag Chair

Judges Tracking Seminar
Please see the attached flyer for information and sign-up for a
Judges Tracking Seminar on Sunday, May 31st. This seminar is
important for judges, but trainer/exhibitors can also attend to find
out the latest on tracking regulations.
As of this last Friday, the working spots for the Laura Romanik seminar are full, all but one with WSOTC members. We have just a few auditors so far, and are looking for more. A flyer is attached. Please share with your obedience friends. This promises to be a great seminar with a highly regarded trainer who is visiting the Pacific Northwest for the first time!
Update on Laura Romanik Seminar!
We have 18 Full, 51 Associate, and 3 Life members; 13 have not renewed. The quorum is 4. PET INSURANCE: Worth the Cost?
I’m sure many of you have contemplated getting pet insurance for
your canine companions. The number of pet insurance companies out
there has ballooned in the last few years, and exploring their various
policies, exclusions, deductibles and payouts gets bewildering. Here
are two articles that can help cut down on your research. The first one
is most recent, a 2015 article in The Canine Journal:
http://www.caninejournal.com/pet-insurance-comparison/#winner
The second one is older, a Seattle Times series written in 2012, but it
gives a more extensive breakdown of each company. Note that both
articles end up recommending similar companies:
