THE CALIFORNIAHEART RHYTHMSYMPOSIUM

The California Heart Rhythm Symposium aims to bring together leaders and emerging leadersin cardiac electrophysiology in the world today.The primary purpose of this conference is tohighlight what is known about basic arrhythmiamechanisms, how our clinical therapeuticstrategies are driven by science, and howobservations from clinical therapeutics havecreated new avenues for research.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This meeting will benefit practicing andacademic electrophysiologists, electrophysiologyfellows in training, general cardiologists, andallied health professionals who have an interestin learning how the specialty of cardiacelectrophysiology is evolving, from the peoplewho are at the forefront of that evolution.

OBJECTIVESUpon completion of this activity participants will be betterable to:• Recognize the latest advances in the methods andindications for: ablation of junctional tachycardias,ablation of paroxysmal and persistent atrial fibrillation,and ablation of ventricular tachycardia;

• Enhance knowledge of sudden death risk stratification in athletes and congenital heart disease patients;

• Improve understanding of the mechanism, epidemiologyand treatment of early repolarization syndrome;

• Enhance knowledge of appropriate use of the novel oral anticoagulants;

• Summarize how these advances are translated into new therapies;

• Apply these treatment advances to their own clinicalpractice.
