STAGE 01The Bunda Street Shareway will be a formal 10km/h shared zone with minimal signage or traditional linemarking. All road users will have to actively navigate the area, avoiding conflict with others. Key features will include:

pedestrians,themobilityimpairedandcyclists• Thermoplasticpavementstencilswithawiderangeof

potentialdesigns• Additionalbikeparking,seatingandfeaturelighting• Streetactivationthroughfestivals/marketsandpop-up

cafes.

Thiswillcreateamoreattractivedestinationandwillsparkatransformationoftheeasternsectionofthestreet.

Thecostofthisstagewillbeapproximately$1million.

STAGE 02

Stage 2 would further improve the streetscape quality and amenity as future budgets allow (possibly one section at a time). Additionalworkswillinclude:

• Raisingtheroadpavementtocurrentfootpathlevel• Stonepavingoftheraisedroadsurface,similartothe

proposedentrythresholdsandcurrentfootpaths• Graphicsorstoneetchingtocontinuethecreative

elementsofStage1,providingapermanent,highqualitytreatment

• Streetplanting/gardensandengineeringworks,suchasstormwaterdrainage

Thecostofthisstagemaybeupto$8-9million.
