Bubble is a 60ft cruiser stern narrowboat built in 2001 for the hire trade with ABC and in private ownership since 2014. Since then much work has been carried out to improve her with a large flat solar array, roof box, cratch and pram covers and a new stove being fitted amongst other works. The very large cruiser stern at the rear has an oversize gas locker which doubles as a seat with storage. Under the boards is the powerful Nanni Kubota engine - more than adequate for canals and easily able to cope with rivers. Entering the boat you first come across a small cabin previously used as a 2nd toilet room. This could be an ideal utility room or small office / workshop / large wardrobe. This leads us into the 2nd cabin with a single bed and wardrobe. ....lots of space to play with as there used to be a second bed in here. Through to the master bedroom with its wardrobe and drawers underneath the 6’4” x 4’ bed. A 22” TV sits at the end of the bed which has lots of storage underneath. The bathroom lies on the port side with a good sized shower over hip bath, ceramic sink over shelves and a Traveller pump-out toilet, all heated by a towel rail. The galley comes next, laminated worksurfaces and 2 larder cupboards - one with a microwave hidden away. There is a 12v fridge, 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill, and ample storage space. Then comes the saloon, fitted with a comfortable 2 seat sofa. A Morso diesel stove heats the room and an LED Sony TV sits on a cupboard also housing a DVD player and the JVC bluetooth CD/Radio system. The central heating throughout is run from a Webasto heater - there is a serviced Alde gas boiler on board but this is currently disconnected and could be removed giving more storage space. Up the step into the covered front deck area, side lockers double as seats, the front locker space is accessed from the well deck. All in all, a lovely, sturdy boat suitable for a small family or couple as an extended holiday or long term cruising boat, ready to set off on a journey across the system!!!
