Briarwood’s 54th annual Global Ministries Conference, entitled “Leading the Nations to Jesus,” will be held Feb. 24–Mar. 3. Our theme verse is from John 12:21, “…Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”We have thirty-one missionary families participating this year from many countries, including: England, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Iraq, Japan, Kenya, Latvia, Malawi, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, New Zealand, Philippines, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, and Uruguay. We can’t wait for you to hear the stories of our International staff

that are LEADing Lifestyles of Evangelism and Discipleship around the world!Briarwood’s legacy of supporting and sending missionaries comes straight from our Mission Statement: “For God’s glory, Briarwood is committed to equipping Christians to worship God and to reach Birmingham to reach the world for Christ.” Our Missions team is praying that God will use this conference to encourage our missionaries, equip our members, and send out even more missionaries from Briarwood. Our Elders have cleared all of our regularly scheduled ministry events this week so that we can focus our attention on International Missions. We are grateful to God that he has sent Dr. Neil Stewart to be our keynote speaker. Dr. Stewart is the pastor of Christ Covenant Church (ARP) in Greensboro, North Carolina. Neil holds a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary. Prior to his call to the pastorate he served as a pediatrician at the Royal Belfast Hospital. He and his wife, Catherine, grew up in Northern Ireland and have six children. Please be in prayer for the conference and our missionaries in preparation for this special week. May the Lord use this time to inspire, equip, and mobilize Briarwood Church on mission!
