• The demand for offshore vessels will have a total investment of more than $ 100 billion by 2020.
• Such investments refers to the hiring of 38 platforms, 29 drilling rigs, 88 oil tankers and 146 support vessels
• The Business and Management Plan from Petrobras provides another 14 new platforms in Libra, pre salt field, that will be contracted with Brazilian shipyards.
Petrobras – possibilities for 2020-2030
• In the 2020-2030 horizon, the expectation is hiring more than 41 platforms for allocation in "Libra", in new concessions from “Onerous Assignment”, in other fields of post-salt already granted, as well as in fields provided from new bidding rounds.
Current Portfolio
• The Brazilian shipyards have a 28 units portfolio that will be delivered in the 2015-2020 horizon, with a local content average of 60%. The shipyards also have a production portfolio of 42 vessels for Transpetro and 61 vessels support financed by "Prorefam", to be delivered before 2020.
Current Situation Outlook • The Brazilian shipbuilding industry is expected to
generate 30,000 new jobs over the next two years (Sinaval).
• The Brazilian shipbuilding industry employment grew 3,613% from 2000 to 2013 and almost tripled its number from 2006 to 2013 (262%).
• Today, the sector employs around 78,000 people at the shipyards in operation.
• Over the next two years, other four shipyards will be operating: Jurong Aracruz (ES); Enseada Paraguassu (BA); EBR (RS); and CMO (PE); which will increase the demand for labour.

17.000 thousand training positions were identified for the Oil and Gas and Shipbulding industries. More than 60 courses will be taught in 8 states, comprising different areas, such as welder and naval electrician.
