TODAY’S CHILDREN’S LITURGY GROUP begins in Church at the start of the 10.30 Mass. Children need to sit with their Group Leaders in the front bench at the right hand side of the Church, and be there by 10.20 for their pre-Mass prayers.
At the start of Mass Father gives them their Gospel Book and they process out, returning to their same seats during the Offertory Procession. The children display their art work in St Joseph’s Chapel, where they reunite with Parents at the end of Mass. Do go and see what they have created in response to today’s Gospel.
The Children Liturgy Group is on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, for all children prior to starting the First Holy Communion Programme.
Children on the FHC programme do NOT go to Children’s Liturgy Group because they need to be in Church every Sunday for the whole Mass.
TODAY’S NATIONAL MASS COUNT continues over the next three weekends and forms part of the international statistics which every Diocese has to send to Rome.

Rosary Sunday, 7th October at 3pm Rosary under the Cross
This international campaign calls us “to pray the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary in Penance and Reparation for the sins committed within the Church and our Nations against the Faith, life and love. This is a time to kneel and acknowledge, confess, lament and repent of our sins before the Lord as Nations and as a Church. With Mary under the Cross of Christ we embrace the Cross of our times, console Jesus crucified and plead for God’s Mercy.”
SCIENCE – OR – RELIGION? A SYMPOSIUM. A diocesan big Symposium is taking place on Saturday 3rd November 2018, 10am – 4pm in The Discovery Centre in Winchester (opposite St Peter’s Catholic Church) on Science and Religion.
Two leading scientists will ask whether recent research on the Universe suggests the existence of a Creator. There will also be a series of workshops led by experts on such topics as Christianity and Extra Terrestrial Life, the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, and whether human consciousness is immortal.
The Symposium is open to all, whether religious or not. See the diocesan e-News for more details. Places are limited and bookings are now open at https://portsmouthdiocese.eventbrite.co.uk _____________________________________________________________________________________
