The Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Crown Paints KenyaPlc makes this announcement pursuant to Regulation G.05(1)(f) and (2) of the Fifth Schedule of the Capital Markets(Securities) (Public Offers and Disclosures) Regulations, 2002.

The Board projects that based on the preliminary assessmenton the unaudited consolidated accounts, the 2018 full yearearnings of the Group are expected to decrease by more thanearnings of the Group are expected to decrease by more than25 per cent compared with the year ended 31 December 2017.

The Group’s performance has been adversely affected bydifficult market conditions in all the subsidiaries in Tanzania,Uganda and Rwanda and especially Tanzania.

The Group is on track in executing its turn-around strategy andstrengthening its balance sheet.

As such, the Board is optimistic that the business of the GroupAs such, the Board is optimistic that the business of the Groupwill improve in 2019.
