The Big Fall Preview 2013-Part One
Prepare now for the fall! The change of seasons is right around the corner and you won’t want to miss out on these latest fall fashions! September has began and now it’s time to start planning and preparing your wardrobe for the fall and winter.
Top colors for fall include: emerald green, mossy green, Linden green, Samba red, vivacious pink and Acai purple...a deep rich color for every Seasonal Color palette!
I have selected 12 top trends you can easily add into your wardrobe this fall. This week, I highlight the first six and how to wear them!
1. Green with envy. Actually, you’ll be envy of everyone else when you find YOUR best shade of green--and wear it!
HOW TO WEAR THIS TREND: Wear your favorite shade of green with any monochromatic outfit. For example, wear an all navy outfit or any other solid neutral color like: all carmel brown, black or gray--then add a green jacket or accessory.
Below, a soft teal green is worn with a warm caramel brown for a fantastic look...

From mossy green to emerald green...there’s a shade for every SYSter!

2. Black accessories. Black is back! (But, did it ever really go away in the first place?) Of course you’ll still look stylish wearing your brown, gray or bright-colored accessories (they’re still fab)...but black, especially black pumps are giving this season’s outfit a “new” trendy look!
I still love my Kenneth Cole black pumps...and this fall I’m going to wear them a lot!
Update your fall outfits with black shoes this fall.Yes, feel free to keep the brown handbag!
Continue to wear your cropped pants this fall but instead of colorful flats...Wear black pumps!
Black accessories go well with this fall’s greens and cobalt blue colors!
Shhhh! These lower heeled black pumps feel like slippers on your feet!

3. Statement necklaces. Chunky gold links, colorful sparkly stones and gorgeous “vintage” looks will all make a “statement” with everything you wear! Pick out several statement necklaces this season to wear with all your wardrobe basics. Every time you wear a showy necklace with even a simple outfit--you’ll have a show-stopping look!
What SYSter doesn’t love a little sparkle??? Especially if it’s in this season’s “emerald” green!

Don’t save your statement necklaces for wearing only with “dressy” outfits.
Wear them to dress up your casual colored tees and chambray shirts!
4. Scarves. Tie one on! A scarf that is. Fall just wouldn’t be as warm and cozy if you didn’t don a scarf!
Make your style easy--simply wear a scarf!
Scarves add “instant style” and color to everything we wear!

TIP: As you know, MissusSmartyPants always tells you to display your jewelry so you’ll see it--and wear it. Here’s a great way to store/display your long scarves...
Instead of smooshed up in the back of a drawer somewhere...hang up your scarves so you are more likely to wear them this fall!
5. Men’s Inspired. Every fall there is some type of “spin” on menswear. This year’s men’s inspired pieces are bolder fabric prints and weaves!
Classic patterns like glen plaids and houndstooth are being worn in tailored slacks, peplum jackets and sheath dresses this fall. To get your girly style on... choose body skimming pieces...then simply add a pair of black pumps to complete your look!
These cropped pants remind me of the “Mad Men” inspired look...Just add a bright blouson blouse or fitted sweater and you’re all set.
Coldwater Creek jacquard Ankle Pant
Choose short-fitted jackets, body conscious sheath dresses and well-tailored slacks...

6. Go Bold and Blue! Cobalt blue is perfect for the overcast cold and cloudy days ahead. Not only will cobalt blue brighten up your day; it seems to work well for most women’s complexions. Give cobalt blue a try this fall and be sure to add your black accessories to complete your look.
