What is the Big Event?

The Big Event is a One Day Event where students, parents, and community volunteers in our school district serve the communities that feed in to our High School.

Why the Big Event?

We began the Big Event in 2012 with 600 students serving our communities at 70 different jobs. Each job was just our way of saying "Thank You!" to the communities that support us every day: Newark, Justin, Rhome, Haslet, and Aurora.

Who do we help?

We complete jobs for any member of our community regardless of need or income levels.

When and Where?

We will meet at our campus Saturday, April 5 at 7:30 AM and start with a rally. Over 900 students, parents, and community volunteers will then disperse to the communities to complete a day of community service. After we have completed all of the "Jobs", we will return to Northwest High School and celebrate the day!

#2 From now until February 24th, all you

need to do is enter your Student ID.

Make sure you print out a copy

of the permission

slip!!

#3 Return your signed permission slip to

Mr. Hays in the Counseling Center

#4 Make sure to go by Mrs. Fanning’s (815) or

Mrs. Hamby’s (817) rooms to pickup your t-shirt!!!

Group Signups:If you have completed

steps #1-4…

You can sign up for a group beginning

February 24th!!!

But…

Make sure the ADULT LEADER of your group has

set up a group with Mr. Hays!!!
