MISSION INSPIRATION: JESUS


Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”


Philippians 2:5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in

Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be

grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the form of a

servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in

human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.


John 20:21 Jesus said to them again,

“Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.


Acts 1:8a But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my

witnesses


Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make

disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy

Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”


Matthew 10:19b do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are

to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. 20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking

through you.


MISSION MOTIVATION: GOSPEL


Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of

God for salvation to everyone who believes


1 Corinthians 1:18 For the word of the cross is folly to those who are

perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.


Romans 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is

saved. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be

saved.”

MISSION MOTIVATION: GOSPEL 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from

God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself,

not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us

the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal

through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to

God.


1 Corinthians 9:19 For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. 20 To the Jews I

became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law

(though not being myself under the law) that I might win those

under the law. 21 To those outside the law I became as one outside

the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the

law.


22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have

become all things to all people, that by all means I might save

some. 23 I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with

them in its blessings.

of the earth.”


MISSION DETERMINATION: KINGDOM


Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent,

for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”


Matthew 6:9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

10 Your kingdom come, your will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.


Matthew 10:7 And proclaim as you go,

saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.


Matthew 25:31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the

angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one

from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the

sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come,

you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the

world. …


41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. … 46 And these will go away into eternal

punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”


John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.


“The kingdom is both a journey and a destination, both a rescue

operation in this broken world and a perfect outcome in the new earth to come, both already

started and not yet finished. … God does not want us to be naïve,

as if the kingdom is fully here. And God does not want us to be hopeless, as if the kingdom has

not yet begun. The kingdom has come and is coming.”

Romans 8:21 the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to

corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning

together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the

creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,

groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the

redemption of our bodies.
