    THE BIBLE,QURAN AND SALVATION

    I. THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD

    A. THE QURAN CONFIRMS Earlier Revelations, Prophets and Books:

    1. They include: The Law of Moses, The Psalms, The Prophets and

    The Gospel {/Koran Surah 28:43; 4:163; 3:48}

    Su [4.163] We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and theMessengers after him: we sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma'il,Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon,and to David We gave the Psalms.

    Su [3.48] "And Allah will teach him (Jesus) the Book and Wisdom, theLaw and the Gospel,

    2. They are Enlightenment for mankind, guidance and mercy{/Koran Surah 28:43}

    Su [28.43] We did reveal to Moses the Book after We had destroyedthe earlier generations, (to give) Insight to men, and guidance andMercy, that they might receive admonition.

    3. There are no distinction of Messengers and Books {/Koran Su2:87; 2:285; 3:48}

    Su [2.87] We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with asuccession of messengers; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear(Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that wheneverthere comes to you a messenger with what ye yourselves desire not,ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others yeslay!

    Su [2.285] The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to himfrom his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth inAllah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. "We make nodistinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers."And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, ourLord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."

    4. Both Jews and Christians should believe in them {/KoranSurah 5:68-69}

    Su [5.68] Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to standupon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all therevelation that has come to you from your Lord." It is therevelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in mostof them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou notover (these) people without Faith.

    Su [5.69] Those who believe (in the Qur'an), those who follow theJewish (scriptures), and the Sabians and the Christians,- anywho believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness,- onthem shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

    5. All Muslims must believe in them too {/Koran Surah 2:136;4:136}. Otherwise, they will go to go astray and go to Hell

    {/Koran Su 2:85,87}

    Su [2.136] Say ye: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation givento us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, andthat given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophetsfrom their Lord: We make no difference between one andanother of them: And we bow to Allah (in Islam)."

    Su [4.136] O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His Messenger,and the scripture which He hath sent to His Messenger and thescripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who deniethAllah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Day of

    Judgment, hath gone far, far astray.

    Su [2.85] After this it is ye, the same people, who slay amongyourselves, and banish a party of you from their homes; assist (Theirenemies) against them, in guilt and rancour; and if they come to youas captives, ye ransom them, though it was not lawful for you tobanish them. Then is it only a part of the Book that ye believe in,and do ye reject the rest? but what is the reward for those among youwho behave like this but disgrace in this life?- and on the Day ofJudgment they shall be consigned to the most grievous penalty. ForAllah is not unmindful of what ye do.

    Su [2.87] We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a

    succession of messengers; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear(Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that wheneverthere comes to you a messenger with what ye yourselves desire not,ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others yeslay!

    6. The BOOKS were existing during Christs Time {/Koran Surah2:40,41;3:48,50}{John 5:39; Matthew 22:29}

    Su [2.40] O Children of Israel! call to mind the (special) favour which Ibestowed upon you, and fulfil your covenant with Me as I fulfil MyCovenant with you, and fear none but Me.

    Su [3.48] "And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Law andthe Gospel,

    Su [3.50] "'(I have come to you), to attest the Law which wasbefore me. And to make lawful to you part of what was (Before)forbidden to you; I have come to you with a Sign from your Lord. Sofear Allah, and obey me.

    Jn 5:39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them youhave eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;

    understanding the Scriptures nor the power of God.

    7. And the BOOKS still existed during Muhammads Time (600

    A.D.) {/Koran Surah 10:94, 32:23}

    Su [10.94] If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee,then ask those who have been reading the Book from beforethee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in nowise of those in doubt.

    Su [32.23] We did indeed aforetime give the Book to Moses: be notthen in doubt of its reaching (thee): and We made it a guide to the

    Children of Israel.

    8. NONE CAN ALTER OR CHANGE HIS WORDS {/Koran Surah6:34,115}

    Su [6.34] Rejected were the messengers before thee: withpatience and constancy they bore their rejection and theirwrongs, until Our aid did reach them: there is none that canalter the words (and decrees) of Allah. Already hast thoureceived some account of those messengers.

    Su [6.115] The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truthand in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one

    who heareth and knoweth all.

    Su [18.27] And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of theBook of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thoufind as a refuge other than Him.

    The chastening for our well-being fellupon Him,And by His scourging we are healed.6 All of us like sheep have gone astray,Each of us has turned to his own way;But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us allTo fall on Him.

    12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great,And He will divide the booty with the strong;Because He poured out Himself to death,And was numbered with the transgressors;Yet He Himselfbore the sin of many,And interceded for the transgressors.

    Mt 27:50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yieldedup His spirit.

    Mt 28:5 The angel said to the women, Do not be afraid; for I

    know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified.6 He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, seethe place where He was lying.7Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from thedead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee, thereyou will see Him; behold, I have told you.

    Lk 24:44 Now He said to them, These are My words which Ispoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which arewritten about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and thePsalms must be fulfilled.45 Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,46 and He said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christwould suffer and rise again from the dead the third day,

    days I will raise it up.

    Jn 10:17 For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay downMy life so that I may take it again.18 No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My owninitiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to takeit up again. This commandment I received from My Father.

    3. Gods Way of forgiveness in the Old Testament Law ofMoses/Torah {Exodus 19:5-6; Leveticus 16:11; 17:11}

    Ex 19:5 Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep Mycovenant, then you shall be My own possession among all thepeoples, for all the earth is Mine;6 and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.

    Lev 16:11 Then Aaron shall offer the bull of the sin offering whichis for himself and make atonement for himself and for his household,and he shall slaughter the bull of the sin offering which is for himself.

    Lev 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it toyou on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is theblood by reason of the life that makes atonement.

    Sur [2.67] And remember Moses said to his people: "Allah commandsthat ye sacrifice a heifer." They said: "Makest thou a laughing-stockof us?" He said: "Allah save me from being an ignorant (fool)!

    C. FULFILLED IN CHRIST AS THE LAMB OFFERING{Psalms 40:6-7;Hebrews 10:1-10; Zechariah 3:8-9}

    Ps 40:6 Sacrifice and meal offering You have not desired;My ears You have opened;Burnt offering and sin offering You have not required.

    7 Then I said, Behold, I come;In the scroll of the book it is written of me.

    Heb 10:1For the Law, since it has onlya shadow of the good thingsto come andnot the very form of things, can never, by the samesacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfectthose who draw near.2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because theworshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have hadconsciousness of sins?3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins year by year.4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away

    sins.5 Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says,

    SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU HAVE NOT DESIRED,BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME;6 IN WHOLE BURNT OFFERINGS AND sacrificesFOR SIN YOU HAVETAKEN NO PLEASURE.7THEN I SAID, `BEHOLD, I HAVE COME(IN THE SCROLL OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME)

    TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD. 8 After saying above, SACRIFICES AND OFFERINGS AND WHOLEBURNT OFFERINGS AND sacrifices FOR SIN YOU HAVE NOTDESIRED, NOR HAVE YOU TAKEN PLEASURE in them (which areoffered according to the Law),9 then He said, BEHOLD, I HAVE COME TO DO YOUR WILL. Hetakes away the first in order to establish the second.10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering ofthe body of Jesus Christ once for all.11 Every priest stands daily ministering and offering time aftertime the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins;12 but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, SATDOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD,

    Zec 3:8 Now listen, Joshua the high priest, you and your friendswho are sitting in front of youindeed they are men who are asymbol, for behold, I am goingto bring in My servant the

    Branch.9 For behold, the stone that I have set before Joshua; on onestone are seven eyes. Behold, I will engrave an inscription on it,declares the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity ofthat land in one day.

    III. ETERNAL SECURITY

    The Bible promises it as a present possession {John 3:365:24,

    ,10:27-28, 11.25-26, 1 John 5:9, 11-13}

    Jn 3:36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he whodoes not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides onhim.

    Jn 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, andbelieves Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not comeinto judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

    28and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish;and no one will snatch them out of My hand.

    Does the Quran have Errors?

    Do they not then consider the Quran carefully? Had it been from other than

    Allah, they would surely have found therein much contradictions.(Surah 4:82)

    Here are the discrepancies and contradictions.

    Did the Quran accept the Book of the Jews and the Christians as theword of God? Did it say that none can alter His words and it is a supremesuccess?

    Accepted:

    1. They include: The Law of Moses, The Psalms, The Prophets andThe Gospel 28:43; 4:163; 3:48

    2. They are Enlightenment for mankind, guidance and mercy 28:43

    3. There are no distinction of Messengers and Books 2:87; 2:285; 3:48

    None can alter/change the words of God. 10:64, 6:35, 18:27

    But denied earlier revelations and truth about Christ:

    The Bible was completely revealed 600 years earlier before the Quran came.The Qurans messages grossly denied the messages about Christ in theprevious scriptures that Jesus is the Son of God, took the form of a man, wascrucified, died and resurrected and that He is the Lord and Savior and thecoming King. It altered the original messages and thus its not the word ofGod.

    There is enough evidence to support the claim that the Quran may have beentampered with. Nobody knows where the original Quran is. The Quran thatthey have in their hands now is called the Uthman's Quran, which wascollected long after Mohammed's death. Parts of the original Quran musthave been lost, after many of the reciters of the Quran died or were killed inbattle. Uthman, the third Caliph (successor of Mohammed) gathered whatwas left of the Quran, arranged it by length of Surahs rather than

    chronologically, then burned all other existing copies.

    We can find that there are flaws and discrepancies in the Qurans statementsregarding Christ. The common accusation of muslims today is that the Biblewe have today is not the same Book that was revealed. It has beenabrogated and corrupted by many translations and versions. The Qurandenied their contemporary beliefs.

    Question Number 1:

    1. Did the Book of the Jews and the Christians reach Muhammadduring his time and was it accepted?

    Qurans answer :Su [32.23] We did indeed aforetime give the Book to Moses: be not

    then in doubt of its reaching (thee): and We made it a guide to theChildren of Israel.

    Su [12:111] Indeed in their stories, there is a lesson for men of

    understanding. It (the Quran) is not a forged statement but aconfirmation of Allahs existing Books (the Taurat (Torah), theInjeel (Gospe) and other Scriptures of Allah) and a detailedexplanation of everything and a guide and a mercy for the people whobelieve.

    Su [10.94] If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee,then ask those who have been reading the Book from beforethee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in nowise of those in doubt.

    It is very clear here that the Books were accepted by the Quran and reachedMuhammads time. This supersedes the claim that the Book was gone. TakeNote though the Book has not the original copy where it was written theQuran cleared that the Book is credible. If it was not the Quran would not askto consult the people reading their BOOK. And we know that even duringChrists time the Scrolls they were reading were copies of the original yet theQuran confirmed its credibility. So did Christ when He said, Search theScriptures for in them you think you have eternal life, it is these that testifyabout Me. Jn 5:39

    Question Number 2:1. How did the Quran treat the Books? These include the Book of

    the Jews, the Book of the Christians and the Quran?

    Qurans Answer:Su [4.163] We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and

    the Messengers after him: we sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma'il,Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon,and to David We gave the Psalms.

    The Story of the Jews

    The Quran states that the Jews worshiped (Uzair) Ezra as the son of God and

    God Surah [9:30, 17:56 and 19:88]. The Bible never recorded this nor therewas a historical evidence of this account. When the Jews returned toJerusalem at the time of King Cyrus Ezra was a prophet, scribe of the Law ofGod and a priest (Ezra 7:6,10,12).

    The Story of Mary (the mother of Jesus)

    The Quran states that her brother was Aaron Surah [19:28], while the Biblesays that Aaron lived 1300 years before Mary (Numbers 26:59).

    That she gave birth to Jesus under a palm tree Surah [19:23], while theBible says it was in a stable (Luke 2:7).

    That Jesus spoke and made miracles at the time he was a baby Surah[19:24-26]. The Bible has no record of that. That Zacharias could not speakfor three nights Surah [19:10], while the Bible says he could not speak untilthe child was born (or for about 9 months) Luke 1:20.

    THE DENIALS OF THE QURAN AGAINST THE

    WORDS OF GOD AND JESUS CHRIST

    There is a truth today in all the bible written for thousands of years and this

    about the deity, crucifixion, death and resurrection of Christ which the Quranhas changed.

    Jesus is the Son of God

    The Quran grossly denied Jesus as the Son of God. In the Bible Jesusconfirmed that He is the Son of God and God the Father confirmed it.

    Su [19:35] It befits not (the Majesty of) Allah that he should begat a son[this refers to the slander of Christians against Allah, by saying that Iesa(Jesus) is the son of Allah]. Glorified (and exalted be He above all that

    they associate with Him0. When Hr decrees a thing. He only says to it, be!and it is.

    Su [19:37] Then the sects differed [i.e. the Christians about Iesa (Jesus), sowoe unto the disbelievers [those who gave false witness by saying thatIesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah] from the meeting of a great Day (i.e.the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire).

    Matthew 16:13-17 (Jesus speaking)13Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking

    His disciples, WHO DO PEOPLE SAY THAT THE SON OF MAN IS?14And they said, Some sayJohn the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still

    others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.15He said to them, BUT WHO DO YOU SAY THAT I AM?16Simon Peter answered, YOU ARE THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE

    LIVING GOD.17And Jesus said to him, BLESSED ARE YOU, Simon Barjona, BECAUSE

    FLESH AND BLOOD DID NOT REVEAL THIS TO YOU, BUT MY

    FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN.

    Matthew 26:62-66 (Jesus speaking)62The high priest stood up and said to Him, "Do You not answer? What is it

    that these men are testifying against You?"63But Jesus kept silent And the high priest said to Him, "I adjure You by the

    living God, that You tell us whether You are the CHRIST, THE SON OF

    GOD."64Jesus said to him, "You have said it yourself; nevertheless I tell you,

    hereafter you will see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHTHAND OF POWER, and COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN."

    65Then the high priest (tore his robes and said, "He has blasphemed! Whatfurther need do we have of witnesses? Behold, you have now heard theBLASPHEMY;

    66what do you think?" They answered, "He deservesdeath!"

    Luke 9:35 (God the Father speaking)

    35Then a voice came out of the cloud, saying, THIS IS MY SON, MyChosen One; listen to Him!

    Hebrews 1:5-13 (God the Father Speaking)5For to which of the angels did He ever say,

    "YOU ARE MY SON,TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU"?And again,"I WILL BE A FATHER TO HIMAND HE SHALL BE A SON TO ME"?

    6And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says,"AND LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD

    WORSHIPHIM."

    The Crucifixion of Christ

    The Quran denied the death, crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.

    Surah [4:157-158] That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the sonof Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified

    him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein arefull of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, forof a surety they killed him not:-Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; andAllah is Exalted in Power, Wise.

    The Bible and Jesus proclaimed otherwise:

    MT 16:21 From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He mustgo to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priestsand scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day.MT 16:22 Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, God forbidit, Lord! This shall never happen to You.MT 16:23 But He turned and said to Peter, Get behind Me, Satan! You area stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on Godsinterests, but mans.

    The Second Coming of Christ

    The Hadith described Christ coming again as only a prophet, human beingand not the son of God, a ruler and a judge using the law of the Quran andnot the Law of the Gospel, shall be against the Jews and the Christians andshall break the cross.

    Hadith 55:657 Prophets (Shahi Bukhari)

    Allahs apostle said, By him in whose hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) theson of Mary will soon descend amongst you and willjudge mankind justly(as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will

    be no Jizya (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). Money will be inabundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (inprayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it. AbuHuraira added If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book):Andthere is none of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians)

    But must believe in him (i.e. Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and ahuman being) before his death. And on the Day of Judgment he will be awitness against them.

    Hadith 55:658 Prophets

    Allahs apostle said How will you when the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descendsamongst you and he will judge people by the Law of the Quran and notby the law of the Gospel.

    The Bible again 600 years before this erroneous teaching came up, theSecond Coming of Christ was foretold Jesus Christ coming as the King ofKings and Lord of Lords. He shall sit on His Throne. He shall come to destroythe wicked and those who do not believe in God and obey not His Gospel.

    9These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence ofthe Lord and from the glory of His power,

    In this study we have investigated and examined the first declarations of theQuran that the Bible the earlier Books was indeed the word of God and none

    can alter it and is a supreme triumph. Changing the original revelation of theevents and stories and substituting it with another is guilty of abrogation.The Quran and its Hadith changed, abrogated and substituted it. How in theworld an event in the pass already done, consummated and finished can bechanged by a statement?

    Therefore it is the Quran that changed the Books. It even admitted andjustified its forging by saying their god only substituted better ones and notabrogate. This is unacceptable and unimaginable. Is this not satan himselfdisguising himself as an angel of light and corrupting the earlier Revelationsfrom the true God.

    "None of our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, butWe substitute something better or similar: knowest thou not that Allah hathpower over all things?" Surah 2:106

    Did the Quran ever mention that the Books ofthe Jews and Christians be totally changed, lostor wiped out?

    Or just a partial, selected changing of words

    Su [5.12] Allah did aforetime take a covenant from the Children of Israel,and we appointed twelve captains among them. And Allah said: "I amwith you: if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practise regular charity,believe in my messengers, honour and assist them, and loan to Allah abeautiful loan, verily I will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you togardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resistethfaith, he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."

    Su [5.13] But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them,and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their(right) places andforget a good part of the message that was sentthem, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few - ever bent on (new)deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveththose who are kind.

    Su [5.14] From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take acovenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sentthem: so we estranged them, with enmity and hatred between the oneand the other, to the day of judgment. And soon will Allah show them

    what it is they have done.

    Here the Quran says that only a part of the message was forgotten orchanged but not the whole Books was lost, changed, corrupted or wiped out.If we follow this logic it would mean that the Books remain and only a part ofthe message was changed. Following again this premise would mean thatwas left unaltered remain the word of God. The words and messages that donot contradict each other in the bible is the word of God. Even if we followthis declaration therefore a part of seemingly contradictions in numbers andfew words in the Bible doesnt invalidate the Bible itself. Therefore the Bibleswe have still remain the Books.

    The Books remained and believed in the Quran.

    Su [2.136] Say ye: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation givento us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, andthat given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophetsfrom their Lord: We make no difference between one and another ofthem: And we bow to Allah (in Islam)."

    Su [4.136] O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His Messenger,and the scripture which He hath sent to His Messenger and thescripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who deniethAllah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Day ofJudgment, hath gone far, far astray.

    Su [2.85] After this it is ye, the same people, who slay among yourselves,and banish a party of you from their homes; assist (Their enemies) againstthem, in guilt and rancour; and if they come to you as captives, ye ransomthem, though it was not lawful for you to banish them. Then is it only apart of the Book that ye believe in, and do ye reject the rest? butwhat is the reward for those among you who behave like this but disgracein this life?- and on the Day of Judgment they shall be consigned to themost grievous penalty. For Allah is not unmindful of what ye do.

    The BOOKS of the Jews (The Torah) and of theChristians (The Gospel) reached Muhammads time.

    The Quran and the Hadith (Shahi Bukhari) themselves testified of

    this:

    Su [5:46] Subsequent to them, we sent Jesus, the son of Mary,confirming the previous scripture, the Torah.We gave him the Gospel, containing guidance and light,and confirming the previous scriptures, the Torah,

    Su [10:94] If you have any doubt regarding what is revealed to you fromyour Lord, then ask those who read the previous scripture.Indeed, the truth has come to you from you Lord. Do not be with thedoubters.

    not be afraid of him.

    CRITERION OF THE BIBLE : THE PROPHECY AND ITS

    FULFILLMENT.

    Lets examine some prophesies of the quran:

    Surah Ar-Rum (the Romans) chapter 30 verses 2-5. - This revelation was sent down

    to prophet Muhammad pbuh during the earliest year of his prophethood. This was inrelation to the news where the Romans were badly defeated by the Persians and

    there were no strong posibility that they will be able to overcome the Persians. TheMuslims were grieved because the Romans (at least they were believer in God) that

    time were christians while the Persians were pagans, so the pagans in makkah wereso happy about the news.

    However, God revealed the above verses saying that within 3-9 years, the Romans

    will gain back their strength and would defeat the Persians. Abubakar r.a. even hada bet with the makkan pagans because the makkan pagans did not believe and can

    not believe on the above verses that the Romans will defeat the Persians with in thatshort term period after their great defeat - The result, Abubakar r.a. won because

    the prophecy was fulfilled as written.

    EXAMINATION:

    The Noble Quran: 30:2-4The Romans have been defeated. In the nearer land (Syria, Iraq, Jordan andPalestine), and they, after their defeat, will be victorious.

    The Holy Quran(Yusufali): 30:2-4The Roman empire has been defeated-In a land close by, but they (even) after this defeat of theirs will be victorious-Within a few years With Allah is the decision, in the past and the future, on that theyshall the Believers rejoice-

    In Surah 30:2-5, I just noticed it seems your god is not sure of the exact date "in afew years, within 3 to 9 years. Is God OMNISCIENT? And does He know all thingswhy in this prophecy your god can't be sure of the exact date. NO MATCH WITH OURBIBLE wherein there many prophecies gave exact dates and was fulfilled exactly--THAT'S PROPHECY not guessing.

    It amazes us that a prophecy from God would not specify the exact time of thevictory, seeing that God is all-knowing and all-wise, declaring the end from thebeginning. When God specifies a time frame as an important part of a prophecy wewould expect that it be precise, not a mere guess. For God to guess that theByzantines would win at some time within "a few years" as opposed to specifying theexact year, is inconsistent with the belief in an Omniscient, Omnipotent Being.Hence, it is unlikely that the true God would actually make such a prophecy. THIS ISNOT A PROPHECY...

    27

  • 8/14/2019 The Bible, Quran and Salvation

    28/35

    Interestingly, the phrase "a few years" serves to further discredit this allegedprophecy. Abu Bakr believed the term "a few years" meant that the Byzantines weregoing to win in three years:

    "This passage refers to the defeat of the Byzantines in Syria by the Persians under

    Khusran Parvis. (A.D. 615 - 6 years before the Hegira). However, the defeat of thePersians should take place soon 'in a small number of years'. In the light of thisprediction, Abu-Bakr undertook a bet with Ubai-ibn-Khalaf that this prediction wouldbe fulfilled within three years, but he was corrected by Mohammed who stated thatthe 'small number' is between three and nine years (Al-Baizawi). Muslims tell us thatthe Byzantines overcame their enemies within seven years. The fact, however, isthat the Byzantines defeated Persia in A.D. 628 (Al-Baizawi commentary). That wastwelve years after the prediction of Mohammed and not a few years. Consequentlythis passage does not qualify as a prophecy, particularly as the time betweenprophecy and fulfilment was far too short, and in addition the event was easilypredictable." (Gerhard Nehls, Christians Ask Muslims [Life Challenge, SIMInternational; Africa, 1992], pp. 70-71)

    Surah anNasr (The Help) Chapter 110 verse 1 and verse 2.

    Chapter 110 Verse 1 talks about the prophecy that the Muslims will conquer Makkahdemolish the pagan idols therein. This verse was reveald a couple of years before it

    was fulfilled.

    The reason for the revelation is in connection to the truce ( peace treaty) between

    the Muslims of Madinah and the Makkan pagans. The Muslims were to perform theUmra in Makkah but they were stopped by the pagans and told them that they cant

    proceed to Makkah for that year otherwise they will be harmed, but they can do it

    next year for only three days stay in makkah, and that the Muslims and the pagans

    should not or ambush each other for 10 YEARS. The companions of prophetMuhammad were so upset because the prophet AGREED to sign the treaty dispitetheir sacrificies and fatigue of walking from Madina to makkad which is

    approximately 500 kilometers; they can fight if they wish BUT the Prophet whorecieves revelation know better than them, so he agreed to the provisions of the

    treaty made by the makkan pagans. Surah 110 was revealed and also surah al Fathchapter 48 verses 18-21.

    During a couple of years of peace, the muslims were able to invite people to acceptIslam until their number reached at least 10,000. So the Muslims were so victorious

    in terms of spreading the message of Islam. Not only that, when the makkan pagansbroke the peace treaty, the Muslims marched toward Makkah and CONQUERED the

    place without doing great effort and fighting because the pagan makkanssurrendered the Muslims-----Allahu Akbar!!! Another prophecy is fulfilled.

    EXAMINATION:

    Bible passage: Matthew 20:17-19Written: During the first century

    One of the unique qualities about Jesus Christ as a religious figure is that heprophesied his own death and resurrection. One example is found in Matthew 20:17-19. Each of the four Gospels of the New Testament, which were written by hisfollowers and contemporaries, testify that Jesus was resurrected.

    Prophecy Matthew 20:17-19:

    17 Now as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside andsaid to them,18 "We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief

    THE QURAN, MUHAMAD AND ALLAH DIDN'T PASS THE CRITERION OF THE

    BIBLE.

    The BIBLE possesses hundreds of Prophecies fulfilled, Historical,

    Archeological and Scientific Evidences.

    CONCLUSION

    No revelation from any angel can changed the original andearlier revelations. The Bible is correct and confirmed its

    authenticity the Books the Law, the Prophets, the Psalms and

    the Gospel and the Writings of the Apostles of our Lord JesusChrist. The Word of God remained.

    God will never allow that the True Message of His words be

    changed nor His Books be lost. The Bible gave the Criterion oftrue Prophet, Book and from whom His words shall come

    fulfilled Prophecies. The Quran failed in this Criterion.

    Isaiah 34:16

    Seek from the book of the LORD, and read:Not one of these will be missing;None will lack its mate.For His mouth has commanded,And His Spirit has gathered them.

    The Bible didn't lack and miss the teachings of the Lord. We have all theresources, archaeological, scientific and historical evidences proving the

    accounts and the events in the bible. The Dead Sea Scrolls and the EarlyManuscripts dating even before Muhammad was born are in our possessionconfirming what we have. To conclude that we don't have the originallanguage where it was written doesn't follow that it is not the word of God.WHO SAID THAT AND WHOSE CRITERIA WAS THAT? FROM GOD? OR FROMMAN? The word of God said He shall preserve it. What was preserved thematerial where it was written or the Words of God that shall remain? TheWord of God remains and the language doesnt matter. It is His words thatshall remain and not the language where it was written because God is ableto preserve it.

    David said in Psalms 199:89

    Forever, O LORD,

    Your word is settled in heaven.

    Jesus said in Matthew 24:35

    Heaven and earth will pass away,

    but My words will not pass away.

    What is settled forever and what will not pass away. Is it the WORD OF GODor the material where the original was written? So therefore, it is the Word ofGod that stays forever and shall remain. The word of God remains andremains to be the word of God even without the original copieswhere it is written no longer exist. Our God is powerful even if theoriginal copies where it was written were lost which He is not after.He is able to preserve His WORD written and spoken and even in any

    languages.His Words are never lost. The 24,000 Manuscripts of the OldTestament (Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek) and the New Testament (5,300 Greek)(including the foreign languages where it was translated during the early tothe middle centuries) we have today evidenced that His words are preserved.The Bible we have today is the same with the Scriptures circulating duringthe time of the First Century Christians and during and before the Time ofChrist.

    You can read The Gospel Truth from these manuscripts that JesusChrist was crucified and has resurrected and is the Lord and Savior.

    It is written in all the Bibles even millions of them you can put your handsinto this message of the Scriptures remained the same. The Book even

    reached Muhammad's time according to the Quran. This message the Quranhas abrogated and substituted. The Word of God and the Prophesies hasbeen written by the prophets thousands of years ago and no one candisprove and belie them.
