Webinar on “Virtual BETTERWORLDFRAMEWORK – World Scout Programme” from 05-08 &
17-20 August, 2020.
Introduction: -
The Scouts and Guides Movement was Started by Prof Lord Baden Powell in the year 1907 with
a small contingent of 20 boys with an aim to create a “Better World” which has now come over has
more than 50 million members all over the world as much as 5.7 billion members in India.
The aim of Scouting is to create active citizens, responsible citizens for the development of Nation
that’s why “Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi” has said that “Every home of India should have
children like Scouts and Guides”.
During this Pandemic time, all over the world Scouts and Guides are actively supporting the needy
communities. In India also Scouts and Guides are Rendering Services like Mask making, Running
community kitchens, Shelters for migrants, Providing of food packets, support to medical centers,
extending support at Railways stations, helped in screening tests of affected peoples by virus, provided
sanitizers, educating them.
Day – 01 – 05-08-2020 – Webinar – Report WOSM Initiatives
Plenary session was lead by “Shri Madhusudan Avala”,(Dy. International
Commissioner (S) BSG, India, WOSM Consultant)
Better World Frame Work is a mile stone in the history of Bharat Scouts and Guides. This
concept was introduced in the year 2015 to Co-ordinate various programmes and to educate all
Scouts and Guides and MoP, to achieve the goals. The students have to engage in various social
activities with enthusiasm to service the people in need especially in this pandemic to prevent the
COVID.
BWFW is a great platform for digital participation in rendering services. World scout
organization has truly completed 100 years of inauguration. At this critical time BSG are
supporting the health workers, doctors and police do service wholeheartedly not for certificates
and badges. 32 million scouts and guides are participating from pacific Asian countries in
Scout.org.

Day – 02 – 06-08-2020 – Webinar – Report MoP Initiatives
Plenary session was lead by “Shri. S. Prasanna Srinivastava”Director, organizational development
and Messengers of Peace.
This webinar is to young people to get engage in services, even in pandemic COVID– 19,
the young people will brain storm as Messengers of Peace. This webinars takes us for
International Day of Peace with service motto.

world scout Bureau, Global Support centre, Kanlalumpur, Malaysia. Questions:

Scouts of the world Award and patrimonito Scout challenge Plenary session lead by “Ms. Ally, WOSM Consultant, THAKAND.
1. Shaping peace together is the theme for this world International day for peace on September 21st, 2020. 2. BWFW is to train the Scouts and Guides for better citizens. 3. Scouts for SDG’s - Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. 4. Nework of Partnerships around the SDG’s. 5. Main components in the Scouts of the World Award. 6. Information – Discovery – Voluntary service. 7. World Heritage – Patrimonito 8. Together we can change the work 9. 27 messengers of peace, Regional co-ordinators are doing excellent work.
Day – 06 – 18-08-2020 – Webinar – Report
Dialogue for Peace Plenary session lead by “Mr. Syd Castillo”, Director EducatIonal Methods, WSB/APR
1. Learning by doing – “Dialogue for peace” 2. What does Peace means – Freedom of Happiness 3. A set of values, culture of peace, safe Environment 4. Ten priniciples of Dialogue – Establish ground rules to Dialogue groups, Dialogue for peace programme. 5. Dialogical Global Active citizen – SCOUT 6. Dialogue for peace programme & Badge 7. September 21st, 2020, as a Scout, Messenger of Peace to take up activities all over the World to promote peace. 8. BSG – Circular Number – 108/2020 dated 10th Aug, 2020 9. Upload videos of peace in Scout.org, Facebook & Media. 10. Celebration of International Peace day with different activities by all members of BSG and World Scouts.

Scouts Go Solar and Diversity and Inclusion Plenary session lead by “Ms. PERTER BLATCH, Scout Association of Malaysia.

Story Telling Plenary session by Resource Speakers “Ms. Luz Taray”, Director Communications & partnership world Scout Bureau, “Mr. Kenny Ralph”Fernaudo” (Project Officer, Communications of WSB)
1. Story telling is a Journey, it connects with our audience it comes in different focus, it’s a Scouting traditions 2. How story telling benefits the audience – Story of Roohi of Bangladesh, as MoP heros in 2018. 3. Aim of her project is Gender Equality, to stop Woman harassment 4. Forms of story telling – Structure, Style, Scout Identity diversity symbol 5. Story telling is a learning process 6. Impactful story telling for Scout.org, posting on social media 7. World scout programme Phase I & Phase II
The Bharat scouts and guides that virtual programme of better world frame work is really and
wonderfulsession during the pandemic covid-19 where physical training not possible. The National
headquarters Bsg has got a good idea of bringing the young youth on a platform virtual BETTER WORLD
FRAME WORK digitally to continue the service of Bsg not only at National level but also at world level.
It’s a really a big stage where we met with higher professionals of Asian pacific countries and at
the national level all high authorities of BSG who arrange the all webinar excellently covering all areas,
which imparts knowledge to us.
The eight days sessions are really inspiring by various talented volunteers, messenger of peace
engaging the young and making them as better citizenships the guest speakers of wosm and the events are
excellentlygood. The BWFW is really milestone in the history of Bharat Scouts and Guides in a world scout
programme.
