Tell me about your childhood in Brazil. I grew up in a small city of 20,000 people, Jandaia do Sul, in southern Brazil. The people are warm and friendly, and the streets are safe for playing games like soccer and volleyball.

Tell me about your family. I have one brother. My parents are both business people.

When did you start studying music? I started playing drums when I was 8 or 9 years old, then added acoustic guitar when I was 13 or 14. I studied guitar with a professor in Sao Paolo.

What about college? On the advice of my parents, I started studying law in college, but knew I had a calling to study theology. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in theology from Methodist University of Sao Paulo.

How did you meet your wife, Malu? We went to the same elementary school and served in youth ministry together when we were 14 years old. We started dating when we were 17, but went to different colleges. She stayed in our hometown, but I went to Sao Paulo, an 8-hour drive away. We tried to see each other once a month. Continued from Page 1

How did you come to know Christ as your savior? I grew up in the Methodist church and knew God as a child. I fell away from my faith, but when I was 14, my mom made me go on a retreat, where my faith was re-awakened and I committed fully to Christ.

What are your ministry passions? I love discipleship, youth ministry, and worshiping in spirit and truth with a broken heart.

Describe what led you to Bethlehem. I believe God brought me here. I was studying worship music in Dallas and saw your job description on Google. Pastor Nelson sent a friend of KJ Henderson to Dallas to meet me, and then I flew here in November to participate in worship.

What are your spiritual gifts? I love seeing God move supernaturally with words of wisdom, knowledge, and prophecy. I love praying for people, especially for healing.

What have been the highlights of your life so far? My wedding, coming to the US, and God bringing me to Bethlehem.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I like to travel, hike, walk my dog, play video games, watch good movies, and spend time with friends.

What would you like to be remembered for? Loving God.

Preschool Children Help the Saint Agnes Day Room By Melissa Dorfman

Proverbs 19:17- Whoever is kind to the poor lends to

the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have

done….

To help celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin

Luther King, Jr, the toddler and 3 day three year old

class came together to make gift bags for

the families at the Saint Agnes Day Room.

The children and teachers discussed why

it is important to help those who are in

need. The children decorated the bags

and stuffed them with hats, gloves, socks,

and a few goodies to munch on.

We are very proud of our toddlers and

threes for the love and kindness they

showed to other children.

OUTREACH TO CHEYNEY UNIVERSITY

As part of our outreach to the community, Bethlehem people handed out goodie bags to Cheyney University students returning for the new semester. The January 21 event was very well received. A big THANK YOU to all who helped, whether you purchased some of the items, helped pack them, or handed out the goodie bags to the students. The students were blessed, we were blessed, and The Holy Spirit's presence was undeniable.

We handed out about 115 bags, and were able to pray with many of the students, who were super thankful for us being there. We made new contacts and relationships with both CRU (formerly called Campus Crusade for Christ) and a Cheyney administrator. We were told we are welcome back any time and that anything we can do to reach out to the students at the university would be welcome.

Some of the ideas coming away that night were -- resume writing help, mock interviewing, teaching interviewing skills, and career counseling through one-on-one meetings with students.

We will be planning more bridge events at Cheyney including goodie bag handouts during final exams. Also, Bethlehem was part of the worship there at Carnegie Hall on January 26.

Thank you once again and please continue to pray for revival at Cheyney!
