The Best Dog in the World The best dog in the world is my dog, her name is Bella. We always play to-gether with her toy elephant. She loves Dominoes cheese pizza, just like me! We cuddle on the couch together and watch TV. Bella likes to bark at my pet fish Sunshine. Bella warns us when someone is at the door by bark-ing. She has her own bed in the mud-room, which is where she sleeps. I love my little puppy dog Bella very much! By Carly Grade 2

Dogs That Help Dogs help people in many ways like helping blind people and people who are in wheelchairs. First of all blind people need to have dogs. I say blind people need to have help from dogs because they can’t see a thing and need to have dogs to guide them. I know they need help when your blind. Next people in wheel chairs need service dogs. I say people in wheel chairs need dogs to help them with getting glasses, opening doors and turning on light switches. I know people in wheelchairs have a tough time with out service dogs. Service dogs help many people in wheel chairs. I know service dogs help many people in wheel chairs and help people who are blind. Service dogs love to help.

Teddy and Me

Fuzzy-wuzzy was a bear, a bear who really loved to share. The only problem was he had no hair. Yes, a bear with no hair! Since Fuzzy-wuzzy had no hair, when it snowed he wore long underwear. One day when it snowed a lot his best friend, Teddy Bear made a dare for him to wear some pink and purple underwear. In fact, Teddy Bear made a double dare for Fuzzy-wuzzy to wear pink and purple polka dot underwear! Even though Fuzzy-wuzzy was a bear who loved to share, he never could refuse a double dare! So Fuzzy-wuzzy wore his pink and purple underwear to school one snowy day. And to his surprise the kids all loved his pink and purple underwear. Everyone loved Fuzzy-wuzzy’s underwear so much that Teddy Bear got very jealous. Fuzzy-wuzzy said to Teddy Bear, don’t worry, my friend, I would love to share my pink and purple polka dot underwear! The Soaring Eagle There once was an eagle. Everybody calls him the soaring eagle. When he comes by me I let him sit on my hand because he is friendly. The eagle loves people, not eating people, just liking people. He would protect me from strangers, bad strangers. If anything bad get near him he will eat that insect or ani-mal. Or if another eagle like a bad eagle comes by him he will start fighting with the other eagle that was the bad eagle. By Heena Grade 2

The Eagle Soaring through the sky, I see an eagle with amazing power. I see it swooping down to a branch on a tree, looking down from something to eat. Then it sees a rat, and the eagle swoops down ad catches the rat. Finally he has his food. He stares at me so curiously. He’s probably thinking, “Am I going to get hurt?” But I stare back at him with a smile. Then it’s time for me to leave. “Good-bye” I say to the amazing eagle. By Lea Grade 3

Cats have fur, a tail, and pointy ears. They can jump very high and are funny animals. I have a cat at home. Her name is Princess. She is very funny because sometimes she

goes under the tablecloth. I think cats would make very good pets because they

are nice and funny.

How winter becomes Spring

Looks like flowers are sprouting. Smells like grills starting.

Feels like the world is heating up. Sounds like birds are chirping.

Tastes like the air is hotter.

The Adventures of Benji The Explorer

By Rachel and Benji

Hi! I am Benji the Explorer. I love my job. I go exploring every day. I usually get messy. My mom has to do the laundry every single day. One day as I was walking Chris and Martin, my brothers saw something that made us all jump! We wondered what it was that made us jump. My big sister, Rachel suggested it was a deer. We all agreed, but something was suspicious about the creature. We heard a loud roar coming from behind us. We turned around and right be-fore our eyes stood a giant bear! We all screamed and ran holding hands. The bear ran after us and wasn’t far behind, but we were lost! We ran up a dead end! We were goners! Suddenly there was a sweet smell of honey filling the air. The bear inched toward the smell. We were safe! We saw the bear blast off into space because the bee had stung him on the butt. We all laughed and laughed. When we got home we told our parents about it but they didn’t be-lieve that the bear blasted off into space. We lived happily ever after.
