Diabetes - the health impact & long term complications. RBH’s Care Service Model. Endocrinology - the RBH’s innovative virtual nurse-led thyroid clinic and referral centre Bariatric - the obesity epidemic and the bariatric surgery pathway.

The Bell Surgery Health Talks Diabetes & Endocrinology
• At the Royal Berkshire Hospital, the diabetes and endocrinology department sees, diagnoses and treats various disorders associated with our hormones and different aspects of diabetes. They have developed a pathway offering help to obese people who are seeking bariatric (weight loss) surgery.
• Clinics are held at the diabetes centre in Melrose House and the Royal Berkshire hospital in Reading, Townlands Hospital, West Berkshire Community Hospital and Bracknell Healthspace.
• The service is provided through a multidisciplinary team including; Consultants; Drs Gallen, Aung, Farah, Kavvoura & Saeed, Associate Specialist, Dr Ghosh, specialist nurses, dieticians, clinical psychologists, podiatrists and a dedicated administrative team.
Future Talks in the Health Talk Series will include, Cardiology, Audiology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology & the new RACU (Rapid Access Care Unit at Townlands Hospital).
