cine, each commented on the importance of the new Access to Breast Care for West Texas (ABC4WT) project.

They explained to local reporters how the ABC4WT initiative was made possible by a three-year $1.67 million dollar grant from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute for Texas.

Not only will the ABC4WT project allow the LWBIWH to offer free mammography to women in underserved populations who qualify, it will also pay for the diagnostic work-up if the results are abnormal.

To help promote the new ABC4WT program, several public service announcements will soon start airing on local television stations. Two of those announcements feature former first lady Laura W. Bush.

A newly-created website is also being promoted. Women who would like more information about the ABC4WT program are encouraged to log on to www.abc4wt.org.
