The Beacon First Christian Church Marion, Indiana JUNE 2017
First Christian Church Vision Statement We believe God is calling the First Christian Church to care for the mental, physical, and spiritual welfare of our greater world community by becoming more service-oriented and
mission-minded. (Adopted in 2005)
There are two remaining opportunities to come and learn about outreach opportunities
in our community.
June 3, “A Better Life,” Pastor Rick Koop. There will be a light breakfast at 9:30 am followed by Pastor Koop’s presentation. Meeting will end by 11 am. June 13, “Drug Court Process,” Judge Dana Kenworthy and her assistant. Following Judge Kenworthy’s presentation, is Natalie Keller’s presentation on “Blessings in a Backpack.” 6-8 pm. We hope you will join us as we commit to choosing two new outreach projects to begin
working on this year, and as we devote ourselves to furthering the Vision of
First Christian Church.

From Family Services
Thank you for being a Champion of Children and helping to promote child & family well-being!
Your donations will have an immediate impact in the lives of children who have been abused.
For every $100 donated to Champion of Children, we are able to provide one counseling session
for a victim of child abuse or neglect. Research shows that children who receive treatment for
the trauma of abuse are much more likely to grow into happy, healthy and whole adults.
Dear First Christian Church,
Thank you so much for the gift card. It is greatly appreciated and really helped me get through
finals week. Thank you for all of the prayers, love and support you have given me throughout
the school year!
God Bless,
Elissa Watson
Worship
Friends, in September you will see changes to our order of worship
and new things will be added to the service as we allow the Spirit to
renew and refresh us.
There are care packages across from the welcome center for anyone coming to FCC requesting assistance.
