The new "Summer Pop-Up Terrace" on the Esplanade du Cinquantenaire
Now that the Esplanade du Cinquantenaire is no longer a wild parking area, it is most enjoyable to stroll there and admire the majestic surrounding
buildings and its Arches.
Nonetheless it was lacking a convivial area to enjoy a drink or a meal.
It is now a done deal with the opening, this summer, of the “The Bar” pop-up terrace, entirely managed by the Autoworld museum.
Ideally located under the colonnades in front of the museum, “The Bar” is accessible as from this 1st July straight from the exterior.
Open from 11.00hrs until 18.00hrs, “The Bar” offers a simple but quality brasserie menu, a selection of wines, beers and cocktails.
In the kitchen, three young people freshly out of the best hotel schools: Maxim Vandenbergh, Charlotte Vandenbergh and Karl-Jan Pintens.
Throughout the summer, “The Bar” replaces the museum’s brasserie, the latter undergoing refurbishment over the coming months.
New Brussels hotspot, “The Bar” is the ideal place for those looking to enjoy a lunch or drink a coffee in an open location meeting all the safety
norms issued by the Government. With its attractive cocktail menu , definitely an agreeable place to meet up with friends and enjoy a festive
moment.
Every day, at 14.00hrs, the museum organises one of their Oldtimers being taken for a drive on the square, making “The Bar” the ultimate view point
from which to admire them.
“The Bar” is fitted out in a warm contemporary style: serving 50 covers with the possibility of extension in the event of crowds. Autoworld thanks all its
partners for their support in the design and creation of this new Brussels hotspot.
It is also worth noting the possibility to organise events and after-works on request.
