PIN (personal identification number) is used worldwide as a safe and secure method of approval across multiple payment devices.
1. On receipt of your BOP ATM/DEBIT card, immediately sign on the signature panel at the back of the card.
2. You will receive your PIN in a sealed pin-mailer.
3. You approve/authorize your transaction with your PIN code.
4. Make sure that you protect it because it is equivalent to your signature of approval.
5. Keep your BOP ATM/DEBIT CARD and PIN in separate places for protection in case of loss or theft.
6. It is advisable that you reduce the PIN given to you by the bank to a number that you can memorize and recall easily.

In case you notice any discrepancy either
after completing a transaction or on recon-
ciling the transaction slips on receipt of
your statement, notify the bank within 7
days by filling out a dispute resolution
form. This form is available at your branch
and at www.bop.com.pk

tions including petrol pumps, grocery stores, restaurants, chemists, hospitals etc.

3. Merchant will swipe your card for the amount of the transaction.

If your card is lost or stolen or you suspect your PIN is compromised, it is important that you report it
immediately so that we can block/cancel the card and issue a new card. Call 24 hours BOP call centre
and get acknowledgment reference number or report to the manager or your BOP online
branch and receive a written acknowledgment. (please always quote the acknowledgment reference
number in all your subsequent correspondence).

4. Check the amount and simply authorize your transaction by entering your PIN yourself.
5. The purchase amount is debited to your account.
6. Collect your receipt and retain for reconciliation of your statement.
7. At restaurants and fuel stations, you will be proceeding to a portable terminal in which you can
enter your PIN code. While at other merchant outlets, separate pin-pads are provided so that you
can enter your pin securely and avoid the risk of disclosing it to anyone else.

3. Do not leave your card exposed to sunlight or heat.
4. Do not scratch the magnetic strip at the back, as it will affect data encoded on the card.
5. Do not place or keep two cards with magnetic strips face to face.
6. Write down your card number and the related details separately which can be easily accessed. In case of
loss or theft of your card, you need to secure yourself with prompt reporting using this information.

2.After using your card at the merchant location, please ensure that the card returned to you is yours.
3.Retain your copy of the transaction slip to reconcile it later with your statement.
Read and follow all instructions carefully. If you think that you have incorrectly entered your
transaction, start all over again.

1.You approve/authorize your transaction with your PIN code. Make
sure that you protect it because it is equivalent to your signature of approval.
2.Keep your BOP DEBIT CARD and PIN in separate places for protection

3.Change your PIN frequently.
4.For your security, do not write your PIN anywhere or disclose it to
anyone. In case you suspect your PIN may have been revealed,
immediately change your PIN code.

1.Insert your BOP ATM/DEBIT CARD into the slot provided for the purpose. Make sure it enters the slot
with the arrow on the card pointing in the direction of the slot.
2.In case of an incorrect PIN, the ATM will display “Incorrect number, please enter again” the correct PIN
should then be entered.
3.When using an ATM, shield your transactions from other peoples’ view by standing in front of the
screen.
4.If your withdrawal at ATM is denied, wait a while and try again after a few minutes.
5.Please remember to remove your card immediately otherwise the ATM will retain it.

1.The merchants will follow prescribed steps for doing different types of transactions at the POS terminals,
Ensure you enter you PIN after verifying the transaction amount.
2.In case of refund transaction always obtain a copy of the transaction receipt.
3.In case your transaction has been cancelled by the merchant, always obtain your copy of “void”
transaction slip.
4.In case you have been asked to authorize a transaction more than once, Please ensure you take a
transaction slip for each time you entered the PIN.

What is a DEBIT CARD?
BOP ATM/DEBIT CARD is your multi-function debit card that provides you with round the clock access to your
bank account for purchasing, cash withdrawals and other transactions.
You can use your BOP ATM/DEBIT CARD at ATMS and POS terminals, At POS terminals, the merchant will swipe
your card, enter the transaction details and you will approve the transaction yourself by entering your PIN.
Payment will be made electronically by debiting your account.

Refunds are only allowed at selected merchants. If your sale transaction slip
reflects “no refunds” the merchant will not be in a position to make a refund
transaction on your card.

These terms and conditions apply to all transactions involving use of my/our ATM/DEBIT card that will enable me/us to obtain
my/our funds and to carry out other transaction as provided in and subject to these terms and conditions.
ATM means any automated teller machine installed and operated by the bank or any other participating bank or
financial institution at various locations whether in Pakistan or overseas. Whether of BOP or a shared network,
at which amongst other things, I/we can use my/our ATM/DEBIT card to access my/our funds in the bank account.
“PIN” means the personal identification number allocated to me/us by you or, chosen by me/us from time to time,
in relation to my/our ATM/DEBIT card.
“ATM/DEBIT CARD” means the card issued by BOP to allow me/us to access my/our bank account availing the services.
“EDC” means any electronic data capture terminal whether in Pakistan or overseas, whether of BOP or shared network,
at which amongst other things, I/we can use my/our ATM/DEBIT card to access my/our funds in the bank account.

“POS” means point of sale terminals whether in Pakistan or overseas whether of BOP or a shared network, at which amongst other things, I/we can use
my/our ATM/DEBIT card to access my/our funds in the bank account.
“DEPOSITORY” means any machine/device whether in Pakistan or overseas whether of BOP or a shared network, at which amongst other things, I/we can
use my/our ATM/DEBIT card to access the bank account and deposit funds in the bank account.
“You” or “your” or “the bank” or “BOP” means the Bank of Punjab having its registered office at 7 Egerton Road, Lahore having its registered office which is
the issuer of the ATM/DEBIT card.
I/WE or “us”, our “cardholder” means each ATM/DEBIT cardholder to down ATM/DEBIT card has been issued and whose name appears on it and in case of
joint account, each of the joint account holders to whom an ATM/DEBIT card is issued by BOP.
“BANK ACCOUNT” means any of my account(s) maintained with any of the branches of the bank or in case of joint account any of the joint account maintained
with the bank by us on which I/we am/are entitled to operate and give transaction instructions contemplated under the terms and conditions.
“MERCHANT” means any merchant authorized by an agreement in writing with the bank to accept an ATM/DEBIT card on presenting by me/us/cardholders
as a means of payment for goods or services or for carrying out transactions as provided in the term and conditions.
“FACILITIES” or SERVICES” means services/ facilities as specified under the terms and conditions, that may be availed by using ATM/DEBIT card at the discretion
of the Bank and any other services that the Bank may in its sole discretion provide from time to time.
“TERMS AND CONDITIONS” means terms and conditions for the use of the ATM/DEBIT card provided herein including any and all amendments and modifications
to these terms and conditions from time to time.
“ISSUANCE OF DEBIT/ATM CARD” on my/our request you shall issue/have already issued ATM/DEBIT card.
