How do I figure out what to draw?

If your sport is Basketball…

List some objects that SHOW basketball

• Ball• Hoop• Shoes

• Favorite player• Anything LESS obvious??

DRAW SOME “STUFF”

• Once you’ve identified your visuals it’s time to get a rough draft started

• Use the 8 ½ x 14 practice paper for your draft

• I will enlarge it on the copy machine to fit the 12x18 drawing paper

COMPOSITION• Work hard to have a balanced

composition• What is your Focal Point?

• Do you have variety of sizes?• Do your elements flow together or

are they simply “plopped” on the page?
