THE AWANA CRYER EDITORS: GARY GRAPPLE The Board met on Monday, 8th of Sep- tember. One of the items that was ap- proved is a list of things that need to be done if you are going on a long term absence . A copy will be posted in the Rec. Room and you will be able to ob- tain a copy for yourself from the Secre- tary. The list covers items that are neces- sary for the protection of your assets as well as that of the Society's. The time is fast approaching when we will need to get rid of the flowers, un- pleasant as that is. Please put the plant materials in the trailer parked by the sheds between buildings 2 and 3. Put the dirt on the grass behind your suites and level it out. DO NOT PUT THE DIRT IN THE TRAILER. We pay by the weight when we take it to the recy- cle. You are reminded that if you have shrubs or hedges in front of your suite it is your responsibility to care for them. That means watering when necessary. The landscapers will trim but you need to water and weed. This applies to the back as well. We recently had two newly purchased trees die because they were not watered. If you need assistance on how to look after these shrubs contact ISSUE JUNE 2014 Lyle Thunstrom. Here are some important notes: Please, no bird feeders Make sure your bikes are identified as to the owners. Unidentified bikes will be removed. ALL AROUND THE AWANABUSH

As I sat down to do this Cryer I dis-covered I had started it in June. Myhow the time does fly. But what agreat summer we had. Sun tans, sunburns and sun screen. I heard severalcomplaints about the heat but I per-sonally revelled in it. I once said Iwould be a missionary except thatGod would send me somewhere whereit's cold, and 1 hate the cold. So weended up spending 16 years in North-ern BC. Who says God doesn't have asense of humour. This reminds methat Bible study and prayer startedMonday night with a great hymn sing.Arden Adrian, Murray Epp, RandyHienrichs and Ed Wiebe will all bringstudies to take us to Christmas. All areinvited to come and share in the greatfellowship.Helen Rempel has moved to TaborCourt. We will miss her greatly. Sheand Bill were among the early settlersin AWANA. Helen served on theBoard and also on the social commit-tee. We visited her at Tabor. We hadto make an appointment because sheis so busy. She has a lovely apartmentand is delighted to not have to makelunch or supper. She is with friendsshe hadn't seen for some time and isso happy. I promised to bring her toour monthly breakfasts any time shewants to come.

We are losing Lillian Diggins as well.Lillian is moving to Moose Jaw, Sas-katchewan where she will be near herfamily. Both Gordonand Lil served at Briercrest for manyyears.Gary and Sue Thomas will be movinginto Lil's suite. Gary is the son of Victorand Barb Thomas. Sue had alreadychipped in by helping clean up at thelast birthday breakfast. Bo Chihon willbe moving from suite #52 into HelenRempel's suite (#24) and Rolley Josephwill be moving into Bo's place. Rolleyhas been living in a basement suite in herchildren's home for some time and isexcited about getting into the sunlight. Please take the time to say hi to the newfolks when you see them.FOR SALE!
