. . . Two AuctionsWhat do you do when you have an auction that

has so many items, appealing to so many buy-

ers. You could have it over a couple of days or

you could do what Hemphill & Moore Real Es-

    tate and Auction did.

Faced with a massive number of antiques, col-

lectibles, tools and vehicles to sell, Frank

    Hemphill put together a

    great auction staff to

    disperse this assortment

    all a one day auction.

    Utilizing the facilities at

    the site and offering

    distinctively different

    merchandise, the auc-

    tion was split into two

    sale sites. One, held in-

side a very nice and air

    conditioned warehouse,

    sold the antiques and

    collectibles. The other,

    tools, vehicles and other

    items was sold outside.

This approach seemed to work very well. In its

simplest form, it allowed anyone who brought

their significant other, bidding partner to enjoy

all the things they came to see and buy without

having to sit through the parts of the sale that

maybe did not quite hold their interest.

    The crowd seemed to

    have a good time, said

    Frank Hemphill. I had

    several who approached

me after the sale to tell

    me they really liked the

    way we set the auction

    up.

    The veteran staff that

    was assembled made

    this a very pleasant

    event and the two, si-

    multaneous auctions

    kept Frank a very busy

guy. Spending time auctioning, catching bids

and overseeing both sales kept him on the run

    for the entire day.

We estimate a crowd of well over 300 attended

this sale, taking advantage of a rare break in

the heat and a very desirable collection items.

We hope everyone enjoys a safe and happy 4th

of July weekend and that you keep reading The

Auction Report. We will keep bringing you

auctions that you can easily attend and alert

you to many auctions you will not see in your

    local newspapers.

    See you at the Auction!
