Thepredominating vibratory influence of today is martial innature—Mars in its disruptive or malignant manifestation, tending to irritability, controversy, positivity orbeligerent attitudes. Fourth Lunar Quarter Began March 31st at 1.13 a. m.Decreasing. Dark.

Fº 1st—Moon enters Aquarius at 5.22 p. m.

This date is termed “All Fools” day and the aspects are sufficient to coincide with the name, to someextent, because unless caution is exercised misjudgment will appear. The mind is apt to get somewhattense and given to hurried action so that things wouldnot be performed so nicely as desired. Be careful inagreements and writing and avoid conflicts, particularly in the evening. Attend to matters of minor import.

Saturday, 2nd—Moon 5° 16' in Aquarius. Two adVerse, but not malign, aspects operate until 3.41 p. m.,which may tend to difficulty with the opposite sex, promote extravagance in buying, give strange emotions orunaccountable attractions, Incline to romance and adVenture. Be Cautious in matters of clothing; liquidsand chemicals. )

After 3.41 p. m. the vibrations become much morebeneficial and elevating. Good for domestic and socialmatters, entertainment, correspondence or study.

gressive effort. Good for occult studies and Socialaffairs in the evening.

Tuesday, 5th–Moon 11° 29' in Pisces. There is likelyto be an inclination to physical indisposition, accordingto the aspects today, hence attention to health is advis.able. The mind is apt to become over-active or tenseand express dissatisfaction. A strong effort should bemade to overthrow any tendency to depression or anxiety, for the Moon opposition to Saturn often brings updisturbances within by its katabolistic action in thefluids of the body which give rise to feelings which themind incorrectly manifests as worry, etc., knowing this, you can reason to insist on overcoming the mental annoyances and look forward with hopeful anticipation,in spite of any tendency otherwise.

Wednesday, 6th–Moon enters Aries at 3.31 p. m.The aspects of today are of a different nature to thoseof yesterday, then they were contractive, now expansive, heating, with tendency to pleasure and amoures.ness. Inclination to over-do or to excesses. Clothingpurchased under this applying aspect of Venus conjunction Mars is apt to prove unsatisfactory to the taste andbecome easily damaged. A fairly good day for the usualbusiness activities. Favors sports and amusements.

Thursday, 7th—Moon 6° 38' in Aries. Excellent aspects prevail for all general business activities, whilethe evening favors social functions, although careshould be exercised with regard to dining.

Solar Eclipse. New Moon. First Lunar Quarter Begins on 8th at 1.05 A. M., Pacifiic Time. Increasing.

This eclipse occurs in the first dekan of Scorpio, awatery, fixed sign. The ancients said of such: “deathof common people, sedition, rumors of war, irruptionsand overflowing of seabanks.” Also, “ruin of housesand of ancient buildings, division and hatred amongclergy, and tumults.” The influence of this eclipsewill likely extend over several months.

INFLUENCE OF THE NEW MOONBetween April 8th and May 7th, 1921

HE New Moon occurs on 8th at 3.55:45 a. m. Wash

|ington, D. C., mean time. This is also an Annular

Eclipse of the Sun, which will be visible over the wholeof Europe, the Western part of Asia, Northwest Africa,North Atlantic Ocean, and as far west as Newfoundland. It is an important eclipse in that it will have a

Page 27: The Astrological bulletina

marked effect over the British Isles and the whole ofEurope.

A chart made for the Latitude of Washington, D. C.,at time of New Moon shows Pisces rising with Uranusat the Cusp being Opposed by retrograding Jupiter inthe 7th. This is an ill starred omen for trouble in theU. S. and as Saturn is also in the 7th, retrograde, itconduces to trouble with foreign nations. Mercuryjust passing the opposition of Saturn denotes discordamong legislators. It brings about serious conditionsfor Our President, and grave problems for our country.

The lunation takes place at Cusp of second mansion, near South Node, indicating difficult financial situations.

Venus and Mars conjoined in second mansion bothsquare to Neptune in the 6th mansion brings up labortroubles and considerable illness, while crimes againstwomen will be all too prevalent.

On the whole, this is an active, exciting period ofcritical nature, but much trouble can be avoided byovercoming radical tendencies, remaining calm and applying diplomacy generously.

Many people have written to ask our opinion concerning the crop outlook for next Fall and in replywe must say that the outlook is not so good as lastyear, conparatively speaking. On account of the proximity of Jupiter and Saturn in Virgo great care shouldbe given to the cultivation of crops and harvestingbegun as soon as possible, because Mars enters VirgoSeptember 19th, and tends to damage.

Using the dates for planting as given in the Planting Daily Guide, page 63, will be very helpful.

NEW DISCOVERIES! (?)

“When the light of the earth was cut off by the shadow of the sun the compasses at all the observatoriesand observing stations varied in directions. In fact, allcompasses ceased to exist until light was restored.Light is the conductor of electricity. Shutting off thesun's rays shuts off those lateral electric currentsfrom the sun, disarranging the whole earth's magneticfield. Besides my long observations to prove this, mywork was simultaneously verified at all observatoriesand stations.”

HE foregoing is a quotation of Dr. Louis A. Bauerof the Carnegie Institute, in a recent issue of the

Sunday “Examiner.”

It is interesting to note how science is continuallyverifying the principles of Astrology, and we are indeed glad to see the EFFECTS of planetary phenomenabeing seriously investigated—even if the results of suchinvestigation are claimed as “new discoveries.”

Twenty centuries ago Claudius Ptolemy of Egypt, famous for his knowledge in Astronomy and Astrology, wrote the “Tetrabiblos” or “Quadripartite”, being fourbooks of the influence of the stars, principally thePlanets and Signs of the Zodiac.

Ptolemy is termed the “father of modern Astrology,”and in his works he told of the effect of eclipses, goingmuch further than to point out disturbance to the compass—indicating a deeper research and knowledge extending to the effects upon individuals and throughindividuals affecting the country. His Observationshave been amplified in the years that have past andmay be found in dollar books on mundane Astrology.Ptolemy recorded facts that were common knowledgeamong the wise men of his day—facts which had beenR&Gººgº

observed and gathered for a thousand years and morebefore his time. A reprint of “Ptolemy's Tetrabiblos”was recently printed which sells at $5.00. However, this is not a book to recommend to a beginner in theStudy of Astrology, although the historical notes arevery interesting and easily appreciated.

Y Yº YAFTER 5893 YEARS, COMET COMES IN JUNE AND

MAY CONTAIN BIG SURPRISES

(By Cable to The Province and New York Times.)(Copyright, 1921, in United States and Canada by New

York Times Co.)

ONDON, Jan. 10.—A warning is issued by Dr. Andrew Crommelin, an eminent astronomer, assistant

at Greenwich Observatory, of the danger to the earthfrom a comet next June. This comet's orbit is beingpushed nearer the earth in each of its appearances, dueto the influence of Jupiter. It makes an appearanceevery 5893 years, and its pathway extends from aboutthe sun's ecliptic orbit to a point where Jupiter performs its revolutions.

Astronomers are expecting its appearance in Julythis year, but Prof. Crommelin says June. It is nowKºgºgº.gººgºººººººººººººººººººººººººººººº

travelling hundreds of miles a minute, head-on for theearth.

“If the actual date of intersection of the paths of theearth and comet were June 26, there would be a collision,” he says. “We wouldn’t be wiped out, but therewould be the biggest shower of meteors ever seen, withpossible damage to property and life.”

Crommelin, thinks the chances of collision are notgreat. He Smiles at the belief of laymen in a collisionof a comet and the earth as being fatal to the earth.Scientists pointed out years ago that comets are composed largely of burning gases, while a collision is thecause of tremendous atmospheric disturbances. Yetthe comet in the mass does not penetrate the earth’satmosphere.

Even as it is, with the comet coming so close to theearth, astronomers are preparing for new discoveriesregarding heavenly tramps, and laymen expect an unusual display of meteors.

Editor's Note.—As soon as the Astronomical locationof this comet is known, its Astrological influence willbe given in the “Bulletina.”

HOW TO USE ONE OF THEFEATURES OF THE

ASTROLOGICAL BULLETINABy Llewellyn George

N the back part of each “Bulletina,” just before theadvertising section, is several pages of symbols

which show, in Pacific time, exactly when every plane.tary aspect is complete in each day of the month.

Students of Astrology appreciate that sort of information and have reason to refer to these tables for variouspurposes.

For the benefit of those who do not understand thesymbols their meaning is interpreted in the first chapter of each “Bulletina” under head of “Favorable andUnfavorable Days,” each month.

By being able to read the symbols one can quicklychoose auspicious periods in any day for particularpurposes and can quickly discern whet days or partsof days to avoid for action on important matters.

A little time devoted to learning the symbols andnature of Aspects would well repay all searchers fortruth, who are desirous of learning , how to work inConscious harmony with celestial laws.

For instance, Suppose you recevie a business proposition, or receive a letter stating someone has beentaken ill: turn to the table of Daily Aspects in “Bulletina,” find the date and note the nature of the Aspect

Kºçgºgº.gººgººsººdºº Gº-Gº-Gº-Gº's

Page 32: The Astrological bulletina

*&Gººgººgººgº.gPage 30 ASTROLOGICAL BULLETINA

which NEXT occurs after the time you received theproposition or the letter and if that next Aspect isbeneficent in its nature it is a testimony that the matter will turn out beneficially, or that the sick will recover.

On the other hand, if the next aspect is of adversenature it is an unfavorable indication for the matter.

In this, it should be clearly understood that the timetaken must be when you FIRST hear the news, receivethe proposition or read the letter. In other words, thetime of the birth of the idea in your mind, will showby the next oncoming Aspect what to expect of theOutCOme.

Suppose that you receive a letter saying that someonewas about to lose their business, and reference to thetable of symbols showed that the next aspect afterreading the letter was benign in its nature—you wouldhave reason to believe that the matter would not turnout so bad as your correspondent expected and thatthere was a chance to avoid the difficulty. Whereas,if the next aspect had been of adverse nature it isquite likely the dire news would prove true. In eithercase the advance information thus gained might bemade of immense Value.

As so many new investigators are evincing an earnestdesire to learn Some of the truths of Astrology we addthe following symbols for study and a brief delineationof the influence of the Moon when aspecting eachplanet.

PROGRESSED SUN INOPPOSITION WITH URANU.S.

Authentic and Interesting Eaſample.

Editor Lllewellyn George:

In the following lines we present to the earnest horoscopic student an interesting study and insight into thelife of an eccentric, also very choleric individual. Weshall not mention his name, but for convenience shallrefer to him as—“B. B.”

“B. B.” was born at Cincinnati, Ohio, August 27th,1847. This native knows nothing about his hour ofbirth, but we are fully convinced from his personalappearance, temperament and past history that the“hour” is 10.49 p. m., or very close to this. That theEighth Degree of sign Gemini was rising—A DEGREEOF STRIFE—said degree fitting him exactly and webelieve correctly, shown by progressing the Radix forfuture events.

The above “degree” mentioned and symbolized as

translated by Sepharial, reads:“A HOUSE ON FIRE AT NIGHT TIME, indicates

the native will be rash and warlike, inclined to destruction and successful therein beyond his desires, HEWILL BE APT TO STIR UP DISPUTES AMONGOTHERS AND TO BRING DESOLATION UPON HIMSELF, through a false sense of security. His domesticlife will be full of turmoil.”

HISTORY

“B. B.”, now a-veterinarian, lived for many yearsin one of the mining counties of this state. Followingthen the occupation of-teamster. Saw much of thisrough life until his 45th year, when as the result ofan argument with a female relative, who in the heatOf this discussion called him a-COward. “B. B.” toShow her that he was not reached for a revolver andturning the weapon upon himself fired the shot intoOne of his lungs—Gemini.

Immediately following the above event this nativewas consigned to an asylum for—acute mania. AfterSome months of treatment received his discharge, leaving the asylum with advice from physician in charge, that he must never again allow his—mind—to dwellupon—THOUGHTS OF DESTRUCTION. This to hiscredit he has followed out—physically, but not mentally.

Has been erratic at times ever since, but during normal periods is quite interesting, especially if allowedhis own way, as he has a remarkable memory. In erratic periods as mentioned seems to be SPOILINGFOR A FIGHT, by his butting into the conversation ofothers. Is always right in his estimation, but whenever opposed gets abusive and insulting, proverbiallySticking pins into his opponent to keep the argumentgoing, a decided intellectual—lunatic—then, sharp andabnormally quick witted, a condition usually accompanying—lunacy. Must floor the other fellow, or thinkR&Gººººººººººººººº.

he must. Singularly DESTRUCTIVE of other's respectfor him. His age only, saving him in numerous pastinstances from severe chastisement at the hand ofstrangers.

When worked up to a white heat in argument challenges all opponents to a-duel, DESTRUCTIVE. Isobsessed with the idea that he has beaten all opponentsin argument, when the fact is that all who cannot standhis wild, erratic and domineering methods in argument have learned by experience to avoid him. As toother domestic troubles we shall not dwell on theseSuffice it to say that his eldest son suffered for sometime with—profound melancholia, but eventually recovered. In our study of this native we have takenparticular notice, that just about the new, or full moon, were times in the past when this native was particularly—VENOMOUS.

HOROSCOPIC REMARKSAs “B. B.” is a deadly enemy of—astrology, terming

it—bunk, superstittion, etc., we had much difficultyin securing his birth-date, but in the end finally secured his year and day of birth, from himself and ina unique manner. After erecting this figure we arefully convinced that Gemini, is rising with said nativeat birth, as we find Mercury, the ruling planet locatedin sign of Leo, in the 16th degree. Said degree “symbolized” as translated by Sepharial, shows “a ram standing upon a barren rock, pawing the ground” indicatinga person of headstrong and rash disposition, extremelygiven to—impulse; difficult to restrain—a FORMINABLE OPPONENT, etc., etc.

According to all rules handed down from pastmasters,we find that Mercury in Leo, indicates one who “seeksto govern at all costs, very determined, ambitious—but in this case “ambition much hindered by Sun forming an opposition to Saturn in this Radix, producingrestriction, limitations in the lſe of any native. “Obyºpºp-ººººººººººººººººººººººººººººººº

stinate, firey, quick-tempered but dignified and confident.” All of which is true of said native.

Mercury is separating from a square of Mars, thelatter located in Twelfth House of figure, the aspectindicating one “very quick in wit, SARCASTIC ANDWRANGLING, QUARRELSOME, etc., etc.” His rulingplanet does not aspect the ascendant degree, neitherdoes the moon, the latter moving to conjunction ofDragon's Tail.

|Upon getting this birth-date, we decided that native's“accute mania” took place at his 45th year, so we enlisted the services of a friend, to quiz native, doing sosuccessfully, so MUCH TO OUR SURPRISE, nativegave the time of this “mania” to be 29 years previousto his last birth-day, Aug. 27, 1920, or 1891. At saidyear his progressed Ascendent was then in square tothe radical position of Uranus, with Sun's progressedmotion in opposition Uranus. At this time also themoon by direction crossed the opposition of Mars radix,SO Students familiar with Sun—Uranus effect can readily see that said native was under some VERY ADVERSE PLANETARY STRESS AND EXCITEMENT.

From 1891 and on “B. B.” has been obsessed with theidea that he was railroaded into Asylum mentioned, gets this “obsession” from Mars in his Twelfth House,Mars in sign Taurus intercepted in said House, indicating under proper conditions—SELF UNDOING, SECRET ENEMIES, DANGER OF IMPRISONMENT, etc.,etc.

Early in the past year—1920, native was removed toa hospital to undergo a Surgical Operation for an Obscure scorpionic trouble. In his progressed Radix for73 year his Ascendent is very close to square of Marsprimary position, with Mars by transit and retrogrademotion in opposition to Radical position during February, March and April.

fect was felt for about three years, ending in demise offather, the late Dr. John Manson. -

In conclusion, we judge in our study of this Radixthat this native in question is afflicted with—excessego, that he has failed in the past to harmonize hisspiritual, with the mundane conditions of life. That hismental condition became much aggravated from timeof progressed Sun in opposition to Uranus. It is this“opposition” which prompted us to present this reading, as said opposition IN ONE USUALLY VERY UNFORTUNATE TO ANY NATIVE.

Yours fraternally, J. MANSON, JR.Lincoln, California, Jan. 2, 1921.

I have taken up my residence in the mountains forthe express purpose of giving my best and uninterruptedattention to silent (absent) metaphysical treatment.

I believe the mountains of California to be the bestlocation for Higher and Spiritual effort and I am gladto have the conditions of beauty and quiet which theyinspire and which they seem to dedicate to silent endeavor not only for myself but for the benefit that willaccrue to my patients.

I am located at Tujunga, near Sunland, California,in the Verdugo mountains, the Monte Vista Valley, sometimes called the Little Yosemite. It is 2000 feet

In spite of the fact that we were anxious to get theedition of the “Planetary Daily Guide” for 1921 outby the middle of December and turned the “copy” inon time the printers seemed to think that as the bookwas for 1921, why, 1921 was the time to print it!So we did not get it as early as expected.

One of the printers who worked on the “Guide” typehad a dream—nobody knows just what the dream was(must have been a nightmare) for during sleep hetransposed two whole pages, placing the dates for themonth of September on the page where August shouldbe. Nobody saw him do this but there's the evidenceof the somnolence right there in the “Guide”!

However, no other damage was done; the dates arecorrect as they are, but be careful not to catch thesomnambulistic vibration and read the September datesin August. Amen.

Many fine testimonials have been received as to thevalue of the “Planetary Daily Guide”—The Moon's SignBook, which we are saving and some day they will forman interesting booklet of experience showing how different individuals have been helped.

FUNDAMENTALS.

A fundamental teaching of Astrology is: First knowthyself that you may learn to give the highest expression to celestial influences which operate through yourorganism, for the more refined the organism the moresuperior the manifestations through it.

Students of Astrology learn to realize by means ofresearch in the natal horoscope that an understandingof self is gained which can be reached in no other way,and as this conception grows it also develops an understanding of our fellow beings leading not alone to brotherly interest in them, but also to recognizing opportunities in which to aid and benefit them.

And thus, from the study of self we graduate to thestudy of the self in others, for all life is one life, andthe kind word spoken or the helping hand given to afellow creature, whether of the human or animal creation (all members of the same family) is a kindness andhelp to the Spirit encased within your Own physicalbody.

High aspirations, proper study and due preparation, place the student in a position to interpret Nature'slaw in a manner that is truly beneficial and enables oneto teach in a truly serviceable capacity the way ofattainment. Happiness in life, unity of action, health, and all real progress, are the consequent results. Thus, knowledge of self leads to knowledge of others, and alllife is benefited to the degree of our unfoldment. Inward, Onward and Upward, for All, are the words indelibly inscribed upon the mental banner of every truestudent of Astrology.

PREDICTIONS VERIFIED.

In the Astrological Bulletina for May mention wasmade of the solar eclipse occurring on April 28th, 1911,in the 7th degree of Taurus, which, among other things,“afflicts cattle,” and in connection with this item thefollowing newspaper clipping is interesting, as it verifies the before mentioned planetary indications and influence:

“100 HORSES ARE DEAD.

“‘WALKING DISEASE’ KILLS WALLA WALLAANIMALS.

“Cause and Cure of Dread Affliction Are Unknown andSufferer Walks Until It Dies. .

“WALLA WALLA, Wash., May 26.- (Special.)—Thedread “walking disease' has again struck the Walla.Walla Valley and it is estimated that 100 horses havedied from its effects. No horses stricken have beenknown to recover. The cause of the disease is unknownand no cure has been discovered.

“The symptoms are walking. The horse will walkover anything, anywhere and, in the last stages of blindness and madness, will walk into a fence, barn or anyother obstruction, the only desire of the animal seemsto be to walk. Sometimes the horses live only a night,as was the experience of H. H. Hungate, a large rancher. A. P. Pierson’s horses lasted longer and most of theanimals stricken live from a week to two weeks, walking at every opportunity, suffering terribly. Farmersare now shooting horses showing first signs of the disease, in order to stamp it out and save suffering.”—(Oregonian.)

Subscribers who are accustomed to reading the Astrological Bulletina chapter each month entitled “Astrological Influence of the New Moon” and who also keepastride of the times through the daily press have noticed how correctly Astrology predicts coming events. For instance, in the June issue, No. 32, page 103, earthquakes are announced about the 1st and 8th of June;these occurred with great loss of life in the far East onJune 1st, in Mexico on June 7th, and in Venezuela onthe 8th.

Regarding the election: As stated an unusually heavyVote was cast, and, contrary to general expectancy, theopen-town element won, as astrologically predicted.

Referring to postal activity: 1000 postal savings bankswere decided upon and movement begun toward theirestablishment.

Concerning amusements: The Rose Festival in Portland, June 5th to 10th, was declared a stupendous success by all who were fortunate enough to be present; agenuine carnival Spirit prevailed.

The death rate was high and among those who passedwho held great public esteem and high position wereJudge Sears and General Mills.

And so on, the other indications became verified inways too numerous to mention, and indeed, the only object in speaking of this at all is to show that AstrologyDOES point the way.

Yº Yº YA subscriber asks “why do the effects of planetary

aspects seem to strike some places more than others?”

It is because some places have influences that coincide with the nature of the aspect and Others do not.

Each country, city or village has its own horoscope, much the same as human living beings have, and thevarious lunations, eclipses and other celestial phenomena have an effect on those horoscopes which are susceptible of influence because of similarity of planetarypositions or aspects therein.

If the horoscope of a place could be ascertained itwould be of incalculable value to the inhabitants thereof, because from it could be foretold all the importantconditions relating to its welfare or otherwise and greatadvantages be derived for the benefit of the people bythe knowledge possible.

Another of the many advantages of such horoscopeswould be that individuals comparing their own natalcharts with the charts of cities could choose the bestplaces to reside; if sick, they could choose a placewhere they would soonest recover health; if poor, wherethey could accumulate money best; if friendless, wherethey would meet congenial associates, etc., and in manyother ways improve their conditions physically, mentally or spiritually.

It is not impossible to obtain such mundane chartsbut it is difficult under the present condition of Astrol.ogy. What the science needs is a school well endowedfinancially so that such practical researches may bemade in a highly scientific manner. Suitable groundsare necessary for the proper cultivation of seeds andmedicinal herbs under planetary influence; suitable instruments are needed for the instruction of the publicas to the motion of planets; libraries are necessary forresearch into cause of past events in connection withthe planetary positions so that proper tabulations maybe made for future benefit to individuals and to businessinterests; printing plants thoroughly equipped are necessary for the promulgation of astrological informationfor general public distribution; a press bureau is desir

ZODIAC INFLUENCE.

We are nearly all accustomed to thinking of but onezodiac, but in reality there are two of them—one in theheavens and one in the body of each person, and thisfact is what puts truth in the familiar saying, “As above,SO below,” for vibratory aspects caused by configurations among planets in the heavenly zodiac cause likevibrations in the zodiac below, i. e., in that of the body.

The influence of planetary conditions in the ambientproduces chemical changes in the body, which in turnproduce feeling; feelings cause thinking; thoughtscause action; actions determine environment.

The aura of a spiritually developed person is lessdense than that of one who is not so enlightened, andthey therefore sense more and finer vibrations, havekeener feelings, and by the more refined thoughts produce better quality in actions.

No matter how lowly or unfavorably one may havebeen born, there is a possibility of great improvementby learning to properly interpret Sensation, refining thefeelings, elevation of thoughts and control of the acts.Astrology points the way! Watch well the aspects andbe prepared to act according to your wisdom. Whenin doubt, choose that which will produce most harmony.

PLANETARY INFLUENCES.

John Gadbury, author of “The Doctrine of Nativities,”1658, in chapter VIII says: “I shall not here take notice of any poetical fictions concerning the names of theseven planets or their governments and rules, such asSaturn's reigning in the Golden Age, when the Earthbrought forth without tillage, etc., or of Jupiter beingthe son of Saturn, who, because his father would havedevoured him, expelled him from his kingdom and gaverule of hell to Pluto, rule of water to Neptune (Posi.don), and took Heaven and Earth to himself; or howthat Mars was produced of Juno without the concourseof royal Jupiter, and so, being the son of Discontent, was called the God of War; of Venus being the Goddessof Love and Beauty; Mercury the God of Eloquence andmessenger in chief to all the other gods. I say that 1

shall not take notice of such, they being but witty inventions of aspiring pates, and carry a far greater glowof rhetoric than reason in them. Therefore, neglectingfictitious flourishes, I shall present you with the truequalities, natures, significations, shapes and descriptionof the seven planets as by experience and certain observations they have been found and so transmitted tous by the best artists.”

And looking forward 250 years to our present time itseems ridiculous that in many of our public schools thetime and energy of children is wasted on lessons inmythology simply to familiarize them with so-called“classic literature,” although a study of such in thelight of understanding of Astrology would reveal a greatdeal of wisdom otherwise totally obscure.

ANCIENT SEERS.

'-----------------

It was well known among the ancients that Astrologers were seers, and, even in this day and time, students find that a study of Astrology develops the Occultfaculties, such as prophecy, intuition, clairvoyance, telepathy, healing power, etc.

That the ancient seers were possessors of psychic attainments of a fine order may be noted by the fact thatthey termed the planet Saturn “Superiorum Altissimus,”the highest of all the seven, meaning that its vibrationswere the more ponderous, and, as they did not term theSun and Moon as planets, the seven includes Uranusand Neptune, and there is plenty of other evidence thatthese two planets, though invisible, were known tothem.

Now this designation is remarkable when we considerthat they had no mighty telescopes with which to makeoccular comparisons, and Jupiter, to the naked eye, issuperior in size, brilliancy and splendor to Saturn whichappears much smaller, and of pale, leaden, insignificantColor.

But the seers of old were not deceived by outward appearances and by means of psychic sight, perceptionand great observation they correctly determined Saturn's true status and recorded their knowledge symbolically, herioglyphically and otherwise, so that posteritymight have the advantage and use of the facts. And torealize how conclusive were the facts thus gained it isbut necessary for us to know that with all our great

modern mechanical inventions and Scientific instruments and scholastic achievements we have not foundthe ancients in error, but instead modern day observations substantiate those of the ancients and prove thatthey were correct with regard to the planet's size, speed, color, influence and many other matters of detail.

ASTROLOGY THE SOLVENT.

We believe that the science of Astrology will solvethe riddles or difficulties in life that we as inhabitantsof Terra are required to meet.

As we feel, so we think; as we think, so we act; thecause is planetary influence. We feel strong or we feelweak; brave or fearful; ambitious or content, and weact accordingly, with results corresponding to the nature, influence and time of the act. The quality of results can be improved by knowing the best times to act, just as the farmer produces best results by plantingat proper SeaSOnS.

A comparatiye study of Astrology and of self will openthe Vision to wisdom in thought and action despite, orin keeping, with the feelings.

*Of course, there are many surprising events which

occur in our lives due to no apparent effort of our ownand a study of our natal chart will tell the nature ofthese, whether favorable or otherwise, and the progressed chart designates the period of their occurrence.

MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE.

The newspapers declare that juvenile crime is increasing because of easy divorces.

If juvenile crime is increasing it is because of easymarriage.

Were it the duty of the clerk who issues marriagelicenses to decide whether or not applicants should begranted permission to wed according to the favorableor unfavorable testimonies in their horoscopes, therewould be fewer unhappy marriages, fewer divorces andfewer children born with criminal tendencies. Successful and fruitful marriages would be the common orderand the progeny Nature's noblemen.

Y Yº Yºr

NAMING CHILDREN.Prospective parents should have a name ready to give

their new born and the name should be spoken to thechild as it breathes in its first breath.

Any formal function connected afterward with thenaming, such as christening, should be performed on aday carefully selected for its favorable planetary aspects and the ceremony conducted in a beneficent planetary hour.

As Sex can be predetermined by Astrology, there isno diffculty in choosing an appropriate name in advanceof birth. When it is desired to give a family name tothe child, sentimental reasons should be ignored andone chosen from a person who possesses very excellentqualities, such as good health, a happy, kind disposition, brilliant intellect, etc.

Each letter of the alphabet has its own quality andin a word selected should be a fortunate figure, in numerical value and this should also be considered whenchoosing a name. The sum total of the letters in accordance with the science of numbers.

THE KEY TO THE BIBLE ANDHEAVEN

By Ludwig B. LarsenA new book describing the mysterious writing in the

Bible which have not been understood for the past twothousand years.

The book explains what the Bible actually contains,in that it describes what the ages and names of thepatriarchs, from Adam to the present time, mean.

This book is a Revelation and is the only book of itskind in existence. The Bible is not what it is supposedto be, a text-book for religion, but it describes the lawsof the universe which we today call Astrology and Astronomy.

It is a peculiar fact that the life history of Jesus isentirely misunderstood and this book explains the mystery.

If you want to know what ancient Astrology is, andlearn how to get the key to this study in the Bible, getthis book. -

The Bible describes the 12 signs of the Zodiac incycles, and gives the conditions produced on Uranus,Neptune, and Saturn, as the trinity which representsGod in nature. The names of men and women weregiven to the planets, and calculated in the periods oftime the planets make their circuits.

The Bible is a sealed book up to the time of the end,and the ending of time means the ending of a cycle oftime. The change of cycles take place in 1920 when thevernal and autumnal equinoctial degrees passes fromPisces and Virgo into Aquarius and Leo.

The ending of the cycle means the destruction of theage, and now is the time for the ending of the age forEurope and also the beginning of the American age. What do you think will happen to the churches when itbecomes known that the Bible is an Astrological bookand that the travels of the children of Israel simplymeans equinoctial precisions?

The “Key to the Bible and Heaven” is written in plainlanguage and easily understood. It contains 280 pageswith 25 illustrations, size 6x9 inches, cloth bound.

Price $3.00 postpaid. For sale by the author, L. B.Larsen, 501 East Oak Street, Portland, Ore.
