SignificantaccountingpoliciesandNotestoaccounts:1 Significantaccountingpolicies i. Basisofpreparationoffinancialstatements Thebalancesheetandincomeandexpenditureaccountsarepreparedunderthehistoricalcost

conventionandontheaccrualbasisofaccounting,exceptasotherwisestated.Intheabsenceofanyauthoritativelyestablishedaccountingprinciplesforthespecialisedaspectsrelatedtocharitabletrusts,whichdonotcarryoutanycommercialactivity,thesestatementshavebeenpreparedinaccordancewiththesignificantaccountingpoliciesasdescribedbelow.

ii. Useofestimates Thepreparationofthefinancialstatementsinconfirmitywiththesignificantaccountingpoliciesrequires

thattheTrusteesoftheTrust(‘Trustees’)makeestimatesandassumptionsthataffectthereportedamountsofincomeandexpenditurefortheyearandreportedbalancesofassetsandliabilities.Actualresultscoulddifferfromthoseestimates.Anyrevisiontoaccountingestimatesisrecognisedprospectivelyincurrentandfutureperiods.AllamountsarestatedinIndianrupees,exceptasotherwisestated.

iii. Fixedassets&Depreciation Fixedassetsarestatedatcostofacquisition,includinganyattributablecostforbringingtheassettoits

v. Provisionandcontingencies Provisionsarerecognisedonlywhenthereisapresentobligationasaresultofpasteventsandwhena

reliableestimateoftheamountofobligationcanbemade.Contingentliabilityisdisclosedfor(i)possibleobligationwhichwillbeconfirmedonlybyfutureeventsnotwhollywithinthecontroloftheTrustor(ii)presentobligationsarisingfrompasteventswhereitisnotprobablethatanoutflowofresourceswillberequiredtosettletheobligationorareliableestimateoftheamountoftheobligationcannotbemade.Contingentassetsarenotrecognisedinthefinancialstatements.

vi. RevenueRecognition Donationreceivedincashorinkindisrecognisedasincomewhenthedonationisreceived.Donations

madewithaspecificdirectionthattheyshallformpartofthecorpusoftheTrustareclassifiedascorpusdonations,andaredirectlyreflectedastrustfundreceiptsinthebalancesheet.Interestondeploymentoffundsisrecognisedusingthetime-proportionmethod,basedonunderlyinginterestrates.

OtherrevenueisrecognizedonMercantilebasisexceptforAPICONcontribution,contributionsfortheobjectsofthetrust(otherthanmembers)andContributionreceivedfromICPDeanwhichareaccountedforoncashbasis.

ProvisionforcontributiontocharitycommissionerisnotprovidedforbythetrustasthetrustisexclusivelyinvolvedinadvancementofseculareducationasperSection58.Further,AspertheBombayHighCourtOrderpassedon25thSeptember,2009,theCharityCommissioner’sofficehasbeenrestrainedfromcollectingadministrativefundsfromcharitabletrustsacrossMaharashtraTheBombayPublicTrustAct,1950.Accordingly,thetrusthasnotprovided/paidthesaidcontributiontotheofficeofcharitycommissioner.

3. Duetounavailabilityofrecords,theIncomeandexpenditureAccountandBalanceSheetdonot incorporatetransactionsundertakenduringtheyear2016-2017bytheDelhiBranchoftheTrust.TheTrusteeshavemaderepeatedattemptstoobtainsuchdetailsbuttonoresults.Hence,tosaveontheothercompliancesthefinancialstatementshavebeenpreparedwithoutincorporatingthedetailsoftheDelhiBranch.

TheBalancesoftheDelhibranchason31stMarch,2016foralltheassetsandliabilitiesstandsthesameasonMarch31,2017.However,intheopinionoftheTrustees,suchexclusionwouldnothaveanymaterialimpactontheFinancialStatement.

3. ProperTaxinvoiceswerenotissuedinrespectofthereceipts.

4. TDSreturnsandservicetaxreturnswerenotonrecord.
