The BASIC BELIEFS of Catholicism
Thursdays, October 24th – December 12th
When was the last time you learned anything new about our Creed, the Sacraments, morality, or Church social teaching? Do you really know what the Catholic Church teaches today?
Update your knowledge of the basics with Dr. Sue Sack as we explore these topics and more over a six-week period. Choose from an evening session begin-ning Thursday, October 24th, 6:30- 8 p.m. or a morn-ing session starting Thursday, October 31st , 9:15-10:45 a.m.
We will be using Joe Paprocki’s book A Well-Built Faith. Cost for the course is $10 to cover the book and snacks. Scholarships available. Childcare is avail-able with advanced registration.
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BEING A
LECTOR ? Members of our parish community proclaim
the first and second readings and the Prayers of the
Faithful at our Masses. We are now recruiting new
members for this ministry! Training consists of
three two-hour sessions where fundamentals are
covered and feedback and support are provided.
Once you have completed training, you can let
Mary Heider know which Mass time(s) you prefer,
and you will be scheduled approximately once a
month or so, depending on the number of lectors
available at each Mass.
If you have any questions, please call Mary
in the parish office, 254-6233. Training will begin
in mid-October. Thank you for your prayerful con-
sideration of this ministry!
PLEASE HELP OUR PARISH MEET
THIS NEED!

DAYTON RIGHT TO LIFE
CELEBRATION OF LIFE,
FEATURING ALAN KEYES “Unlocking the Culture of Life” is the theme for
Dayton Right to Life’s annual fundraiser, featuring Dr.
Alan Keyes. Dr. Keyes has lived a life dedicated to de-
fending, promoting, and fighting for liberty. He has una-
shamedly and consistently raised the standard of unaliena-
ble rights—and Biblical truth—in defense of the unborn.
He confronts the culture of death with compelling and in-
spiring reasons why abortion must be banned from our
land. Join us on Tuesday, October 22nd at the Dayton Art
Institute for hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and an inspiring mes-
sage from Dr. Keyes! Doors open at 5:30 pm, program
begins at 7:00 pm. Event details and registration
at daytonlife.org.
