He’s called a “devil’s fiddler,” born into the legendary family of gypsy violinists descended from Janos Bihari, “King of Gypsy Violinists.” Lakatos is a 19th century throwback – scorching virtuoso, jazz improviser, composer and thrilling entertainer. He’s coming from Budapest with his ensemble of four gypsy musicians, including a cimbalom player and pianist Frantisek Jáno!ka, winner of the International Franz Liszt Competition in Hungary in 2002. Arts by the NumbersIn 2005, The Arts Partnership commissioned a study conducted by Ameri-cans for the Arts to measure the economic impact of the arts in Fargo-Moorhead. At that time:
