OPENING May 6, 2014 - Rome, Italy St. Stephen's Cultural Center - Viale Aventino 17 Artists: Diane Epstein, Claudia Palmira, Andrea Annessi Mecci, Patricia Glee Smith Mara Van Wees; Curator: Carina Courtright Artist Salon Founder and photographer Diane Epstein sees the concept of the show Meanwhile as “...that mysterious interval, a suspension of time and space.” In her work Painter Patricia Glee Smith reflects on “the inner life of familiar objects, the secret dialogue that takes place between them.” Sculptor Mara van Wees speaks of capturing “one fleeting instance of a larger movement.” In her paintings Claudia Palmira expresses that “in any particular moment, the inner world has intricacy, beauty, and complexity.” Photographer Andrea Annessi Mecci states that “traces of existence are in these spaces and the time between two events is captured.”
