    My first MBA fest!!

    I had only participated in Chakravyuha the Marketing event because I knew it would keep me

    occupied enough thorough out the two day Management fest. There were 9 singular rounds in

    this event.

    1. Quiz round General aptitude. I was glad I made it through.2. Logo designing My favorite! My brain was itching to put my creativity to some use. I wasto come up with a Brand logo, Brand name and a tagline for Gujarat IPL team. Did it! Got

    through!

    3. Marketing Product I was to market and sell the given product within the collegepremises for a price higher than the MRP. To my surprise, I managed doing it :P

    4. Treasure Hunt Fun is the word to describe this round. There were 10 clues to be crackedbefore I finished. Solving one clue lead to the other. Never did I scratch my brain this

    much. Phew!

    5. Mime Marketing I was asked to market a broom! Yes, a mime on stage to promote abroom. Harry Potter: You saved me! Flying broom Cleanliness brings happiness was my

    vision here which was put in a humorous way.

    6. Story Narration We were to humor a given comic series with our own dialogues. This wastricky! Never knew comedy could take this serious making.

    7. Stress HR Round You have to have a piece of mind or the HR questioning you will end upgiving you a piece of his brain! I was literally sweating walking down the stage.

    8. Wall Art With the few best ones left in the competition, this was getting harder. I had tomake a wall art on Prevent Corruption. Once I finished it, I bet if my wall art got out,

    Indias corruption rate would have come down by 5% :D

    9. Project They had saved the best for the last. HMT Company had lost its market value.Most of its branches had to be shut down. Sounds so dangerous, doesnt it?

    I had to come up with strategies to reposition HMTs market value within a night.

    I made a whole presentation keeping my main theme as eco-friendly diversification.

    Presented it to the jury. They loved it. I won it. Yes! I did it! Won the first place for the

    Marketing event.

    I was so proud of myself. I beat colleges like Christ University, MP Birla, Alliance Business

    Academy, RV College, Mt. Carmel etc.

    Soumith and Prashanth had participated in Prashnottara the Quiz There were 5 different quiz

    rounds in this event.

    1. Business Quiz Them competing against 30 management colleges. Cant imagine thenumber of brains at work! The teams would get filtered with every round. Soumith and

    Prashanth made it through this round (to no ones surprise)

    2. Aptitude Quiz They cracked this test contending against 13 other college teams.3. Written Test Detailed comprehensions were to be analyzed with other 5 teams whomade it through the 2nd round.4. Rapid Fire Round Fun to watch. Only the participants knew the cost of it. You have to

    kicked or you are shown the door.

    5. Audio/Visual Round This was an interesting round that included the need of knowledgein the fields like Politics, Technology, Sports, Corporate etc.

    Soumith & Prashanth seemed to have done their homework. They finished 3rd

    and made MVIT

    proud! Cheers to them.

    I and Prashanth had participated in the Product Launch event. There were 3 rounds.

    1. Product Launch We were supposed to come up with a product of our own. That includeddetails of the company from the scratch, capital records, work out the Product and Loss

    table, Breakeven point analysis, marketing strategies etc and present it to the jury. Not to

    mention, answer their inquisitive questions.

    2. Marketing Product Rotten lemon. That is the product we were given to make moneyfrom. Inter-personal skills were put to their best use. Only we know how we made it

    through this one.

    3. Re-imaging Like coming up with an innovative product for the first round wasnt enough.We were asked to re-image our product. We were to better the marketing strategies and

    enhance our products USPs. This wasnt easy. But as its said, No pain, no gain! We

    worked as true CEOs of our company and came up with ideas that surprised even us !

    We won the event with 2nd

    place and applaud by the audience that included our competitors.

    We couldnt stop grinning! :D
