1.Infrared radiation is invisible radiant heat energy
2. Source of infrared radiation :
Hot object (stars and flame)
The objectsbelow 500C emit infrared rays only.
The object above500C emit infrared raysand red light.
3. Characteristic of infrared radiation :
Heating effect can be felt on the skin when it is exposed to infraredrays.
Can be detected by heat-sensitive photographic films and infraredsensors.
