This magazine, as the name probably made quite obvious, will be re-leased everyday - Monday to Friday. Its purpose will be to relay to you the highlights of the days’ news in music and in film. We will endeavour to publish an issue every evening.

The Angle Daily is an interactive magazine. That means that unlike a lot of other publications that just talk about music and video, we can actually show them to you and include them on the page itself. The majority of the images inside are clickable- doing so could allow you to play a video, listen to a song or just visit a website. The article will probably tell you what to expect.

We’re currently looking for unsigned bands and artists to feature in this magazine. To have a news piece written about something you have com-ing up- be it a new record, a massive tour, something you’ve released that you want streamed, whatever- or to have something reviewed, just send an email.

NEWS: VON HERTZEN BROTHERS RELEASE NEW MUSIC VIDEOVon Hertzen Brothers have a brand new official video of their song Sunday Child. The track is from the Finnish band’s album New Day Rising, which is their most reason. It takes them up to six albums, and so far this is the third song to be pulled out from it as a single.

Suderskar’s Lighthouse Island in Helsinki’s outer archipelago is the location of the shoot. They played a show there and had the event filmed. Brothers, Mikko Kie and Jonne Von Hertzen, as well as keyboardist Juha Kuop-pala, and drummer Mikko Kaakkuriniemi, wanted to use this incredible environment as a backdrop for Sunday Child.

“At the end of summer, we performed an exclusive show on a tiny island outside Helsinki,” explains Mikko. “This remote, rugged and expansive location, with its 150 year old lighthouse, was a perfect match for the atmosphere and story of our new single, Sunday Child. With this in mind, the goal was to capture this magical late August day from beginning to end. The music video that followed is like a diary or a photo album of this special event and our gig right by the open sea.” Check out the video via the image above. CM

NEWS: bad news to release singleCheltenham Folk hardcore quintet Bad News are releasing their new single Wide Awake for digital download on October 2nd, and are also streaming it Soundcloud. The download will also feature a b-side track titled Rachel.

Since the release of their last EP Saraswati, Bad News have definitely progressed if this track is anything to go by. Their indie rock sound has developed and matured, with melodic guitars and a strong lyrical narrative that brings them up to the next level within the underground scene. The band have been working the scene hard, doing shows with bands such as Creeper and doing multiple festival appearances. They will be touring the UK throughout October to support the release of the single.

ALBUM REVIEW: ADAM AND THE PLASTIC-FOXHOLESAdam And The Plastic is a five-piece band from Orlando, Florida. Foxholes is their second full-length release, at just under 40 minutes long.

Foxholes is mostly comprised of your regular, run-of-the-mill bedroom rock. Al-though it’s plenty enjoyable, it’s not reinventing the wheel or anything. But that’s okay. I don’t think that’s what Adam And The Plastic had in mind. This album starts out with a song called The Party that sounds reminiscent of Godspeed! You Black Emperor’s early work. There’s a simple guitar riff that repeats itself for the duration of the song, dragging other elements of the song with it. Other instrumentation slowly begins to appear, such as a playful melody on a lead guitar, drums that have been stripped down to bare necessities, as well as a sample of what sounds like a bunch of people huddled in a room, discussing who-knows-what. This is a good representation of what this album sounds like. Everything blends together, and it can be hard to pick out one thing you like, but all together, it’s really well made and it’s a very pleasant experience.

Foxholes, although it’s catchy and melodic and a very peaceful-sounding album, it is not without its flaws. For one thing, the vocals on this album are sometimes too hushed. They can be hard to understand. However, this doesn’t take very much away from the album. This album never had anything to say to begin with. Yes, people are talking, but you’re not supposed to analyze what they’re saying. It’s just some nice company. A good example of this is the song To The Bottom. It sounds fun, catchy, whimsical, like the background music for a weekend pool party. It’s just nice to have some musical accompaniment, and Adam And The Plastic is happy to provide it.

The name of the band might seem weird to casual passersby. No-one in the band is named Adam, and who or what is ‘the plastic’ they’re referring to? Well, once you listen to Foxholes, you’ll find out what ‘the plastic’ is. It’s referring to the kind of music the band is creating. If one were to try and dig deeper to find some sort of meaning in their music, they’re probably not going to find anything. It’s fake, in the sense that it’s just some nice music to listen to. It doesn’t have much of a message, it’s not supposed to get you riled up, it’s just there. And that’s not a bad thing at all. FB

NEWS: iggy azalea reveals album titleTo some she may have all the talent of a piece of Brighton rock, Iggy Azalea has revealed

that her new album is starting to come together, and has confirmed that she’s decided on a title and artwork.

The Aussie rapper responded to a fan on Twitter, confirming that the record will be called Digital Distortion. She’s also said that she’s shot the cover for the record, and is now collaborating on pictures with an artist. We can’t imagine it’ll be that imaginative, much-like her music.

Her debut album featured such dregs as Charli XCX, Rita Ora and TI, but she isn’t sure who will feature on this one. “I dont have any [collaborations] yet, but i will ask people soon.” If you feel so moved you can watch her video for Trouble via the image above. AN

NEWS: the wonder years and motion city soundtrack to release splitThe fantastic Motion City Soundtrack and The Wonder Years are to team up for a limited edition

seven-inch split.

The band’s frontmen Dan Campbell and Justin Pierra traded instrumentals of songs found on their band’s upcom-ing albums, No Closer To Heaven and Panic Station, and then wrote their own lyrics and melodies for the tracks. Fantastic idea, right? The tracks on the split will be (Sort of) A Song For Patsy Cline by The Wonder Years and It’s (Sort Of) A Pleasure To Meet You by Motion City Soundtrack.

The record goes on general release Monday October 12th and is available in transparent green or opaque red. AN

The track is taken from the band’s eight studio album, The Color Before The Sun. Of the track Co-heed And Cambria drummer Josh Eppard said “Eraser embodies the music we grew up on better than any other Coheed song to date. news: ellen page to star in flatlin-ers remake

Variety has reported that Ellen Page is currently in talks to join the upcoming remake of Joel Schumacher’s Flatliners.

The 1990 original starred Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts and Kevin Bacon as meddlesome medical students (not kids, it isn’t Scooby Doo) who come up with the foolproof idea of temporarily stopping their hearts in order to experience the afterlife. The students flatline themselves and during the period between life and death they aim to explore what awaits beyond and, not surprisingly, it isn’t very nice.

Page, who will fill the same role as Roberts did, is the first news to emerge on the project since development began back in 2013. Source Code’s Ben Ripley is still oboard to write a screenplay. Girl WIth The Dragon Tattoo’s Niels Arden Opley will direct. No start date has been decided. Expect this one to take a while. AN

NEWS: jON VOIGHT AND GEMMA CHAN JOIN HARRY POTTER SPIN-OFFSome A-list talent has been added to Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, as THR has reported that Jon Voight is now onboard. He is joined by fellow new additions Gemma Chan and Carmen Ellogo.

The threesome will star opposite the hugely talented Eddir Redmayne who is starring as Newt Scamander, a prominent adventurer that fans will remember fictionally wrote the book the film is based upon. The film will be set in the same universe as the Harry Potter series, but will take place in New York City seventy years earlier.

Directed by David Yates and co-starring Ezra Miller, Colin Farrell, Samantha Mor-ton and Katherine Waterston, the film will mark the screenwriting debut of J.K. Rowling. It hits UK and US screens November 18th 2016. AN

NEWS: KEANU REEVES TALKS JOHN WICK 2Keanu Reeves is set to return as ba-dass hero John Wick in Lionsgate’s sequel to the recent movie, with the follow-up to see him portray Wick past and present.

“I think we have a really good premise and it’s an organic prem-ise.” Reeves tells Collider. “It’s ba-sically — to me there’s John Wick and then there’s John. You know, John is the married guy whose wife just died, and that’s five years of his

life. Then there’s John Wick, who’s the mythical assassin. In this, John Wick’s past comes and infiltrates John’s life and John Wick, in a way, has to fight for John.”

He continued “Why tell the story? Why do we need to do this again? How do we do that without doing another dog? So we speak about John Wick, the next chapter, and what is that emotional hook? What is that? So I think we have a good idea of that.” Reeves also answered whether the sequel might lead to a franchise. “I’m interest-ed in what happens to the guy and in this world,” says Reeves. “But we had to come up with a reason why, and we came up with a reason that was good enough, that didn’t suck, and we’re just trying to make it better and better. In terms of a franchise, I don’t know, until you do it and it’s done, you don’t know, because it’s not source material, this is original goodness.” AN

NEWS: danger mouse film plannedRecently back on TV with Alexander Arm-strong, Kevin Eldon and Stephen Fry among its vocal cast, it’s been reported that a Danger Mouse movie is to hit the big screen. Sony Pictures Animation and Stu-dioCanal are behind the production, with Neal Moritz and Toby Ascher onboard as producers.

Danger Mouse, who lived under a pillar box on Baker Street, drove a flying car and had a hamster sidekick called Penfold, was a secret agent channelling James Bond and Danger Man. An eighties cartoon fa-vourite that got into a lot of very silly ad-ventures. His arch enemy was wheezy toad Baron Greenback who, along with his crow henchman Stiletto, was always up to mischief. Count Duckula was a secondary villain.

No plot details have emerged yet, so there’s much speculation to be made as to what Moritz, producer of the Fast & Furious and Jump Street movies, has in store for Danger Mouse. Watch this space. AN

NEWS: JOE ROBERT COLE IN TALKS FOR BLACK PANTHERHe’s to make his debut in Captain Amer-ica: Civil War and now Chadwick Bose-man’s Black Panther is to have his own solo film in Disney and Marvel’s sched-ule set for 2018. It looks like Joe Robert Cole will be writing the script.

Cole, who was the writer and director behind Amber Lake, is part of the comic book film studio’s in-house writing program, which birthed Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Nicole Perlman. According to The Wrap, Cole has also been vying to write the script for Inhumans, but isn’t attached to the movie.

The film’s plot is still a mystery. The chances are the film will see some answer searching for T’Challa, the man that inherits the Black Panther title as part of a royal lineage he didn’t even know he had, and exploration of his home of Wakanda, the African nation whose mines provide Vibranium, the material from which Captain America’s shield is constructed. Black Pnather hits UK cinemas July 6th 2018. AN

news: JAMES VANDERBILT TALKS THE SHINING PREQUELWhen Stephen King released Doc-tor Sleep, his sequel to The Shin-ing, it seemed highly likely that Hollywood would follow suit. Well, something a little different is hap-pening, a prequel called Overlook Hotel. Mark Romanek is onboard to direct.

Producer James Vanderbilt has revealed a few details about the project. “You want a real filmmaker like Mark doing it,” said Vanderbilt during an interview with Collider. “Honestly I think people will really be excited about it, because it’s not like 20 Years Before The Shining!. I don’t want to give too much away about the story but the way [screenwriter] Glen [Mazzara] cracked it and the way Mark has sort of cracked it, it’s completely its own film, which I think is super smart. It’s not like, ‘When Scatman Crothers was young, he…’ it’s not that.”

Film fans shouldn’t worry too much, this isn’t likely to be a cheap money-maker. Overlook Hotel actually takes inspiration from the prologue King wrote for the original novel, which was eventually cut from the finished book. The story follows the exploits of Bob T Watson, the original owner and a retired crook. Production is expected to begin next year. AN

HOWLS-REST WELL

the lucid experiment- she's my melody

The song lingers over the pensive thoughts in its lyrics before reaching a new level of energy in the chorus, seething in a apparent frustration at the world’s current state of affairs. You can only applaud the worldly scope of the subject matter and how concise the thoughts and emotion behind it are. This band know what their message is and just how they want to communicate it.

wolf like child-wars

The song starts with a simple guitar rift that is carried on through much of the song, and immediately an asso-ciation with bands like Dire Straits is created. It’s very easy to get into the groove of the track and special credit has to be given to the extremely dynamic bassline that underscores majority of the song. Towards the mid-dle and end it morphs from a saharan sunset roadtrip track to an increasingly psy-chedelic experience, before ending with a comfortable descent back from outer space.

Rest Well was released early, as a little teaser of what the band had to offer. Packed with intense depth and emotion that builds ten-sion, the track takes head banging to a whole new level.
