THE FAMILY OF GOD IN WORSHIP Building a Community of Disciples for Christ

July 21, 2019 10:55 am

The Season After Pentecost WELCOME Tom Cabaniss

PRELUDE Carol Cone

THE CALL TO WORSHIP Mark Hill One: Stirring within us All: is a longing to be loved. One: God says: “You are the beloved.” All: Aching within us is our desire for our true home. One: God says: “Come home. Here you will find rest.” All: Rising within us is our search for a vision larger than the pressing moment. One: God says: “I will give you a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night to guide you.” All: Brewing within us is a yearning for community. One: God says: “I have called you by name and given you one another to love.” All: Being born within us is a song of hope and a melody of praise.

Welcome to Kannapolis First Baptist Church! We are so grateful to God for leading you to this place of worship today.

If you are a guest, be sure to sign our fellowship pads as they are shared during the worship time or our guest book in the foyer

of the church as you leave so that we might have the opportunity to thank you personally for worshipping with us today.

“The Moon and A Parakeet” Psalm 15

A QUESTION Verse 1… Verse one gives us an idea of what it is like to live in the house of God… If we put all this together… So the question lingers…

A CAVEAT

We have to remember that no one is worthy to enter into the presence of God based on how he has lived. Ephesians 2:8-9… John 10… The moon landing…

A TRANSFORMATION

One mark of a mature Christian… After entering the family of God, He goes to work to change us in at least four ways… Character Conversation Conduct Currency When the Lord invites us to dwell with Him… A car wreck…

A CONCLUSION

Verse 5b… Psalm 1:3...four qualities… Many things in life can shake us… Guard our thoughts and trust the Father… A parakeet...
