Northshore Church News ●Jerusalem (Hammond) Men on Mission will meet Tuesday, October 17, and Tuesday, November 14, at 6:30 p.m. Women on Mission meetings are Thursday, October 19, and Thursday, November 16, at 6 p.m. The Annual Pumpkin Festival with food and games for the whole family will be Sunday, November 5. The church anniversary and Thanksgiving celebration with dinner on the grounds is planned for Sunday, November 19. Phil Weaver is pastor.

●First (Slidell) has several upcoming events: Upward Basketball and Cheerleading Registration will begin October 1. Register at www.upwardslidell.org or come by the church office. Registration will be open through December. Fall Festival for the community will be Saturday, October 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. on the front lawn of the church with food, a cake walk, inflatables, and games for the whole family. Friendly costumes are welcome. Sonshine Club Meeting for Senior Adults will be Friday, October 27, at 12 noon at the church house. They will not meet in November. Their Christmas meeting will be on December 8. Operation Christmas Child boxes will be collected the week of November 6th and will be prayed over Sunday, November 12, before sending them out. Advent season will begin with a Christmas Piano Concert by a group of the area’s outstanding pianists on Sunday, November 26, at 6 p.m. The concert is called “PiaNoel” and admission is free. Pastor is Casey Stark.

●Ridge Memorial (Slidell) will have a different kind of revival in October. "Magnificent Monday" will have a different preacher each Monday: October 2: Dalton Isbell, Spring Creek Baptist Church, DeRidder, LA; October 9: Clark Stewart, New Zion Baptist Church, Covington, LA; October 16: Herb Haws, Northview Baptist Church, Houston, TX; October 23: Lonnie Wascom, DOMM, Northshore Baptist Association, Hammond, LA; October 30: Jason Douglas, Pinehaven Baptist Church, Pensacola, FL. Everyone is invited to attend. Paul Dabdoub is pastor.

●Grace Memorial (Slidell) announces the annual Slidell Life Chain (hundreds of pro-lifers stand together along Gause Blvd. in this peaceful and prayerful protest against abortion) is Sunday, October 1, from 2-3 p.m. Trunk or Treat is Tuesday, October 31, from 6-8 p.m. Andi Peltonen has joined the staff as Youth Secretary. Dennis Phelps is interim pastor.

●New Zion (Covington) will have their 112th Anniversary Homecoming Celebration Sunday, October 1, beginning at 10:30 a.m. with Bro. Howard Peak preaching and OneWay Quartet leading music. A meal and fellowship will follow the morning service. OneWay Quartet will be in concert after the meal. Pastor is Clark Stewart.

●Natalbany invites everyone to the dedication of their new children’s wing and dinner on the ground following the 10:15 worship service Sunday, October 22, and to Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, October 25, at 6 p.m. Rodney Taylor is pastor.

●First (Ponchatoula) will host PraiseFest on Tuesday, October 10, at 10 a.m. This is a Senior Adult Choir Festival with choirs from all across southeastern Louisiana. Guest speaker will be Jeff Ingram, Louisiana Baptist Convention Adult Ministry Strategist. This is an event for all churches and anyone is welcome. Come and bring family, friends, workmates, classmates, etc. Chip Vickers is music pastor and David Cranford is pastor.
