Keeping artists creating artthe show won’t go onthe music won’t be playedthe canvas won’t fill itselfthe words won’t write themselves the dance won’t begin if you’re not up to it

Founded in 2002, the Artists’ Health Centre is an integrative clinic at Toronto Western Hospital. Our practitioners specialize in addressing the specific health care needs of professional creative and performing artists, as well as students and teachers of the arts. We are a unique facility − we are the only clinic in Canada that specializes in serving the entire artistic community in a hospital setting.

To date, the AHC has had over 20,000 patient visits, from musicians, visual artists, actors, dancers, writers, vocalists and many other members of the creative community.

We are a clinic designed for artists, to help you continue creating. We are healthcare providers, we are shiatsu and massage therapists, chiropractors, psychotherapists, and physiotherapists. We listen, we diagnose, we support and we heal.

Through the Joysanne Sidimus Subsidy Fund we are able to subsidize our services for artists in financial need, so they only pay a small fraction of the cost.

The Artists’ Health Alliance (AHA), is an active partner of the Artists’ Health Centre. The Artists’ Health Alliance is a one of a kind organization, partnering the artistic and medical community for healing, strengthening and empowering the creative community.
