The Advantages of Dental Implants vs. Dental Bridges Written By Picacho Family Dental on July 25, 2018
When you need to replace a missing
tooth, you might dread the thought of
needing a dental bridge, especially
since a bridge can lead to problems in
the future, such as an increased risk of
tooth decay for the teeth around the
bridge.
Dental implants in Yuma are another
option that may better suit you.
What Is a Dental Bridge?
When you have one or more missing teeth, a dental bridge can be recommended by your den-
tist. The bridge consists of two or more crowns connecting with a false tooth in-between.
What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants consist of a replacement tooth root and a fake tooth designed to match the
rest of your teeth.
Benefits of Dental Implants in Yuma
If you’re wondering if you should get dental implants, know that they’re a long-term solution to
replace a missing tooth, as long as you take care of them properly. It’s possible for a dental
implant to last a lifetime. Dental bridges, however, are more prone to decay, so you might
need the dentist to replace the bridge in the future. Additionally, it’s easier to brush and floss
in between your implant than a bridge.
Fortunately, you can have the entire dental implant procedure conducted at Picacho Family
Dental and all you have to do is call and schedule your reservation.
